Hot deal on 80 GB HD

I was just in my local CompUSA and they had their own brand HD's on sale.. The drives are made by Maxtor.. 7200 RPM 8MB Cache. 80 GB

Regular Price $94.99 - 45 Instant Saving = 49.99

If you buy 2 or more... 94.99 - 55 Instant Savings = 39.99

I view this as a hot deal. Its always good to get instant rebates. Not sure if its good online.. Didn't check.

Here is the link to it on their website.. It says generic, but I can assure you its made by Maxtor

There was a $62 160gb maxtor out the door (compusa to staples pricematch) last week, so i'd say this one is warm. Not hot, but not a bad deal for someone just wanting to grab a drive locally.

If only it were an official maxtor label, might be able to coax a pricematch out of another store 🙁

😀

can anyone else confirm the buy 2 @ $40 each? If so, I consider this a good deal and will buy 2 for my raid project.

It is in their sale paper, i can confirm this. if i had a scanner, i would scan it for you. But if you drive over to compusa, i guarantee it.

Just picked up the last two at the Sunnyvale Compusa, (at least on display, maybe there was more in the back). I was at the Pleasanton store after work and they were OOS. Out the door for 86.xx for two 80 GB 7200 drives with 8 MB cache. Thanks for the post OP.
