Hot deal Johnny walker blue label at Costco. 209 years

Marina Del Rey Costco. I'm thinking this is actually a hot deal if you are the clientele they are targeting.

I'd love to taste it. Probably smooth as silk.

I am no Johnny Walker fan, though. It's the Bose of Scotch. Red Label is kerosene, Black Label is the same price as Glenlivet and there is no comparison. JW is usually what people who don't drink Scotch serve to impress people - especially Blue Label.

I'm not really a blended whisky person, but I do have to say the JW Blue Label King George V is quite excellent. Worth trying if you get a chance. It's the one thing I've tried from JW that really surprised me (in a positive way).

On night my friend turned me on to his fathers stash of Johnnie Walker Blue which till today was the smoothest Scotch I ever tasted.

My 2 cents: If you spend $20k on one bottle of Scotch and don't tell anyone, much respect. If you spend it and tell everyone about it then you are a moron.

Umm, the stuff doesnt get better if it ages in a glass bottle.
Shit that was aged 18 years and just got bottled today tastes the same if not better. In fact probably better.

Cork fucks up whiskey over time.

If I knew for a fact that the above year in particular was a good bottling that might be worth something.

As an example 65 Johnnie Walker Red is considerably better than the years before and after it.

I had a few epic nights in college drinking Pinch. My limited experience drinking alcohol suggested that after the first couple of drinks, others offerings that followed usually tasted kinda/sorta the same. If I was having 6 beers I would drink 2 Heineken first and then finish with the Rolling Rock lol

Johnny Walker will forever be burned into my mind when a woman used it in the worst pickup line on me. I finally understood what it must be like for women to deal with lame dudes throwing desperation at them at the bar lol
