HOT DEAL! Get anything for free! (Paypal Sucks)

My god I am so fvcking fed up with paypal and usps. Some retard (at least he writes like one) says I never sent his item out. My records show I did. I remember writing his name on the envelope.

I send it out, but I didnt bother with a tracking number for some stupid, stupid reason.

Now he claims he never got it, and is going through a paypal chargeback. Since I dont have a tracking number, I'm SOL.

So now I present the formula to get anything for free:

1. Buy it on ebay, and tell the guy "not to bother with a tracking number."
2. If you convince him not to, once you receive the item, go whine to paypal that you never got it.
3. Paypal will refund your money. The seller is guilty before proven innocent.

Simple as 1-2-3!

Whatever you want! Thats the beauty of it. If you can get it on ebay, and can bear to wait a month to get your money back, its yours to keep for free!

You flame paypal and e-bay yet you admit in your post that you were stupid not to bother with a tracking number...

While I certainly dislike people trying to rip off others, you knew it was likely to happen. I can't imagine any other particular way to trade (other than meeting to face to face) that is 100% safe.

It is in your best interest NEVER to ship with USPS unless you use delivery confirmation, and even then, watch it.
Fedex all the way, delivery confirmation, very good tracking, can't be beat.

So is any merchant who accepts credit cards over the web. You people should remember that next time you're inclined to complain about shipping address restrictions or signatures being required for delivery of your packages.

There's also the other side of things:

From AnotherRandomMessageBoard.com:
Buyer: Hey guys, I need some help! I bought something off ebay a while and haven't gotten anything. I payed with paypal. It's been .... so far and I didn't get it in the mail. The guy says he sent it but he doesn't have a tracking number. What do I do?SoandSo: TROLL!JoeSchmoe: Initiate a chargeback, IMMEDIATELY. The guy is trying to scam you!Dingus: Bruce Lee or Coke?BandwagonHopper1: Yeah, get your money backBandwagonHopper2: He's a troll!Buyer: Ok, guys, I was worried about what to do so I did what you said and initiated a chargeback. Now the guy is pissed.Bates: You have PM. grrrDingus: Nissan Sentra might do well, tooBadwagonHopper1: Up for Justice!

You get the point. I have no reason to doubt that you sent the thing out and yes, this situation sucks donkey balls. Make sure you're on good enough terms with the guy that he'll pay if and when the thing shows up.

You are basically SOL. Never ship anything w/o proof that it was sent in some way. I always insure my packages and save the insurance recipt. That reciept is proof that it was sent...how can I never send it if I had it insured? ALWAYS get proof. If the person tells you not to get confirmation or anything, they are a scammer and don't sell to them.
