i guess UCLA engineering signed up for MSDN.

including SQL server enterprise and developer, winxp pro, 2k server, 2k pro, 2k advanced server. 98se, studio .NET, exchange server 2000 (conference, enterprise servers) , sourcesafe 6 , foxpro 7, commerce server 2k developer

This is a download and not physical CDs, so have a fast connection ready.

ditto for UW, although you don't even have to be an engineering major here, you just have to take a single CS/CE/EE related class to qualify for the goodies weeeee.

Practically every big college is signed up for this program, usually engineering/computer science majors are able to get free software to use as long as they are a student.

Well i guess you deserve some kind of compensation for having to go to class on south campus with all the other math and science majors. North campus is where its at! Dont feel bad im sure south campus at ucla is still better than most every other campus.
GO BRUINS

Can anyone hook me up with any of these ? I'm over at NIU and they dont have this program. I'll pay for what ever your costs are. My book store sells some titles but they sell Office XP for a "special student discount" of $135. (Should i make my own "hot deal" thread and post this awesome price !? ;-) )

I need Visual Studio .NET
PM or IM me please

Um, sorry, no. Engineering at UCLA is probably one of the most horrible things you can do. Professors are crap, policies are retarded, but I guess other schools would have their own complaints.

And mainomega, I don't think you can "buy" this software from one of the qualified people and have it be legal.

its a free download not a physical CD. too bad the winxp isnt a bootable ISO image, but i made a bootable ISO after doing some stuff with nero and a boot image from another copy of XP

Ditto, it is also available for free for UIUC students. Too bad the only thing useful they don't hand out is MS Office

How did you guys install XP from this download? Just boot from the HD and run the install? Thanks.

sweet! esuc is still alive! you guys get a new foosball table yet? =) last I remember the old one was really crapping out.

I e-mailed you about Visual Studio.

Damn, just graduated this past summer and my account doesn't work. Still works on the email server but not on the download page. Oh well... that's what happens when you stop paying them money.

esuc is kinda alive. we dont really do anything i dont think. i'm actually on the cabinet, and well we need like sweeping changes.

we are a lot more wired i guess. new foosball table this year, they didnt have one for a while. intel donated us like 14 p3 workstations and a dual xeon raided dell poweredge, and some wireless accesspoints over the last couple years. someone donated a 20ppm laser printer too . that and the whole lounge was renovated, and looks really nice. club doesnt seem as active as the old photos make it look like it used to be.
