Weirdness! my order status now shows;

Sep 25, 2000, 5:24 am PDT Order placed.
Sep 25, 2000, 5:25 am PDT Visa ending in **** charged $118.19.
Sep 25, 2000, 5:40 am PDT Order sent to our warehouse for processing and fulfillment.
Sep 24, 2000, 5:00 pm PDT Order receipt acknowledged by warehouse.


Notice the last line is dated the day before I even ordered


 
Okay..I just came from a class..long on to anandtech and I see this long thread. I thought I'd risk it and order a little bit of ram. I'm building a new system, so if it works out, this will be great 🙂 Weird thing though..my first order didn't go through...it said something saying I should check to see if the item is really in stock or something. So, I ordered again and this time it did work. I checked my email, and I have 2 emails on both orders. I checked the web page, and the orders are on "Order pending transmission to our warehouse for processing and fulfillment." Hope, I make it...even though I got in extremely late.. I would of stayed up later yesterday, but I had a really early class this morning..
 
I ordered two at 8:30am this morning. Didn't want to be a piggy.

Anyway, just checked my order status and it says my order receipt acknowledged by warehouse.

Looks like Egghead caught on, "The page you requested could not be found."
 
I have noticed this Date weirdness before when ordering from egghead. I show the same status as many of you.
sept 25 sent to warehouse
sept 24 order recipt acknowledged.
i am not sure if this 1 day off thing is a good thing or bad
 
the page is no longer avail, and egghead will not honor the price

"We reported on this WAY EARLY this morning and MANY of you jumped on it. Egghead has now removed their $35 256 DIMMS from sale. We have been told that they will honor the orders thy got and that they will also NOT honor the orders they got. Well, I dunno, so if your SDRam shows up, let us know!"
 
Anyone noticed there is a "request backorder cancellation" option in the order status page? That could mean that it's backordered.. I'm crossing my fingers.. Good luck!!
 
Thank goodness i split my orders up into small orders instead of one order.
one of my orders got:

Sep 25, 2000, 2:15 am PDT Order placed.
Sep 25, 2000, 2:16 am PDT Discover ending in xxx charged $146.35.
Sep 25, 2000, 2:16 am PDT Order being held for manual review prior to processing.

but all the others were accepted, woohoo, crossing my fingers
 
In egghead fiasco sometime ago, what Egghead did was recall the UPS. Even if the shipment was sent they call UPS to deliver back to us.

Anyone know someone working for UPS? I think it is not right for Egghead to recall saying it is the customer who is refusing or saying it is a delicate order.

I think the orders placed early will be shipped but most likely Egghead will recall it.

I saw the Egghead deal and decided to give it a shot for some home "testing" RAM.. Here is the deal I just called them and this is what they had to say:

We will honor the prices until we run out of stock. Then we will credit back customer and send out emails for the people who didn't get the memory. What happen was they were updating the pages and they screwed up that page and no one caught on.

Basically I ordered last night at midnight.. I will "more than likely get the product" but I placed another order this morning and they said "it depends on qty"

looks like only people that ordered really early will get some. and if they ordered 2-3 gigs, they screwed everyone else. oh well
 
Isn't their stock real time?

DAMN. grr.. i knew i shoulda stayed up all night for something 🙂 eh, woulda been playin deus ex anyhow 😉
 
Beat ya to it, noxipoo, and I'm not sure if the tracking is real time. Wish I'd stayed awake too. It would of been worth it....even if I was sleepy as hell in all my classes today, heh

There is no way that we can verify how many they actually have in stock. They will probably claim to have 20 in stock and give out the first 20. I know that's what I would do if I was them.
 
Well, if they claim to have real time stock (don't know if that's true) and if at the time we ordered, it showed that they were in stock. Wouldn't that be proof? Unless, they just said that was another error, like the pricing glitch... Who knows how many orders they received. Just look at this thread and who knows how many lurkers did it too.
