HOT DEAL: Buy a guitar stand & get a FREE guitar!!!

hehe, the stand alone is Sale Price: $7.99 ..
wonder why its not buy the guitar for 200 and get the stand for free.

You'll want to edit your link- there's a session ID that gives your name and (maybe) personal information (I didn't feel like snooping.)

Thanks, I THINK I fixed it now (I just logged out so the session ID is useless).

Buy the guitar stand for $229.99 and get the Squier P-Bass FREE!

very interesting marketing ploy... VERY INTERESTING

interesting meaning STUPID 😉

Oh man, Squire's are absolutely horrid instruments. If you're going to burn that much on a beginner's bass, I would highly recommend you go with Ibanez. (Speaking from experience..)

I've got that one they are selling @ that link & it's a pretty nice guitar. Are you sure you're not talking about the Squier Affinity P-bass? The affinity's aren't that great, but the standard series are exact copies of the Fender Standard series.

I have this same exact Bass... It only cost me $189 when I went to my local guitar center like 4+ months ago... So... This one is a little overpriced. (Keep in mind you almost never pay whats on the sticker at a music shop)

Squier totally sux. Save the money, wait some time till u got enough, and purchase a quality instrument. Im a Gibson man myself. 🙂

I bought this last year for my son. I got a bass guitar, 15amp, cord, stand, strap, gig bag, and tuner for $180. It was used for 3 times by a high school kid. He didn't want to learn bass. Anyway, it is a decent beginner guitar.

I have another great deal along the same lines.....................

Buy 4 new tires from me for $25,000 and I will throw in the car for free. Any takers? Any one?

And for those who may not have put too much thought in it. If the Stand was really worth the $229.99 price tag, you think I would really want to put a guitar I got for free on it? Forget that! It's like buying a 36" Sony Wega for a plant stand.

<< Can you buy with your AMEX and pricematch???

hmmmmm.......
>>

That would be awesome, but I'm pretty sure you can't. Musician's Friend already has a best price guarantee. Amex won't let you pricematch with companies that have a guarantee already.

Musician's Friend does a lot of these "Upside Down Sales". Usually some nice deals. I will, however, agree with many of you that Squier series guitars are terrible. If you're looking for a cheap, entry level guitar the get a Dean or a Lotus. At least they aren't made out of particle board.

<< Off topic but still a great find....

Bought a candy wrapper at work today and got a FREE candy bar.
>>

That's NOTHING!!! I bough a key last year and got a FREE CAR!!!!! Nice one too! Key was pretty expensive, but it still was a good deal!

I was going to say...aren't Squire's made by Fender? I had a Squire "Billy Squire Issue" (don't laugh) Stratocaster and it was a very good guitar. It had that tinny rock sound that made Strats famous. Thought it was a very good instrument.

yes, squire's are made by fender.... they're the 'bottom-of-the-line' branch off. their strats are pretty decent for beginners/intermediate, so i'm assuming this bass is pretty decent as well. the only not-so-decent thing about it is the 229$ price tag. you can at least go into guitar center and prob. get a better bass w/ AMP (instead of guitar stand) deal for 199$ or less.

Squiers are decent. They are owned by Fender but made overseas vs. Fenders which are made here or in Mexico. The quality control is getting better over the past few years. Fender raised their prices over the past year pretty significantly so that's why this year's Squier P-bass model is ~$40 more than last year's.

I would recommend getting the Ibanez GSR200 for this price range (around $200-210). It also has hybrid P- and J- pickups but has a slimmer neck and easier to play.

hehe. A friend of mine put his monitor on Half.com for $.75 and charged like $200 shipping. Same type of deal here.

PS: No one bought the monitor, despite the exceptionally low price.
