I still haven't received a single email or call from them regarding my purchase of a X800XT PE, but the tracking thing worked. They charged my credit card about 30 min ago. I ordered Aug 8th, so it looks like pretty much everyone who was able to preorder one on the site should be able to get their hands on one (with the exception of you Canadians =T)

Un-freakin' believable. I ordered on 7/29 with a 1996XXX order code, and my order is still not showing either with the Fedex trick or at ATI. It would have had to go out today for me to have it by the weekend.

This was a screaming deal, but I'm really beginning to wonder about how organized ATI is since they appear to be shipping the cards at random.

If that wasn't enough to make me wonder, I received my THIRD cancellation notice today. I originally ordered the card on 7/29 and forgot to use the 10% code so I cancelled that order and reordered again about 5 minutes later.

I've now received a "your order is cancelled" email on 7/29, 7/31, and 8/16. For some unknown reason, they didn't see fit to include an order number so I could tell what order they were so happily cancelling. ATI swears that my second order is good to go but missed the cutoff for shipping today.

I've used their cards since the VL-bus days but I sure hope they're currently making their cards better than they're keeping track of their customers and orders.

With respects to upgrading the HSF to say the AC Silencer 4... it seems to be a general consensus that we'll all need additional cooling, but won't that void warranty?

Afterall... isn't that what makes this deal so hot? a 3 year warranty on a refurb backed by the manufacturer?

Unless the card increases the inside temp of my PC case too much, I don't plan to spend ~$32 extra bones on a cooling solution for a video card with a 3 year warranty which is NOT overclocked😉.

AGREED!... but then again... for a piece of plastic that moves hot air out of your case... its only money 😀
 
That fedex trick worked for me also, thx op. Shipped aug 16th arrive on the 20th. My question is where are the cards coming from Mexico? I live in Ma. , ATI is in Canada and the card shows up in Tx. Fed Ex? What up with that?

Ordered mine last Friday - 8/12 at about noon EST. Haven't gotten an email from them yet, nor did the FedEx trick work for me. I'm thinking I've got to be one of the last ones to get in on this deal - hopefully they don't run out right before they get to mine! Would suck if the majority of them get shipped this week, then they run out and mine doesn't get shipped for a month or so. We'll see...
 
Just received mine. In white box with discs, power cables, and card. The card is an X800XT PE and not the X850XT like we hoped.

The card is brand new...I would say never installed and I would doubt the fan has ever been run. I have the advantage of working in a place where I can look at the AGP connectors under magnification and it appears the card hasn't been installed...

Anyhoo, X800XT PE for about 60% the going price...I'll take it 🙂
