Starting today Blockbuster B&M has 25% off on their previously rented DVDs, games and video tapes. I don't know about the price ranges on the games and video tapes but their peviously rented DVDs that are normally priced from $10 to $17 are selling for $7.50 to $12.75 plus tax. This is better than their usual $2 off deal that they have periodically. I don't know how long this sale will last. I didn't think about asking when I was at the store.

Wow, nice deal! :) This might be better than the Hollywood Video 2 (Previously Viewed) DVD's for $20 deal. ;) Thanks for the heads up. ;)

They're not still running the 3 for 2 promotion are they? If so this would be HOT HOT HOT!

They didn't have the 3 for the price of two deal anymore. I actually like this deal as much as the 3 for the price of two deal because wih that one you had to find a minimum of three you wanted to buy and in order to get the full one third discount you had to select three with the same price. The 25% off is good for any number at any price which makes getting what you want a whole lot easier.

I picked up the following deals this afternoon:

Unbreakable - $9.74
The Mexican - $9.74
15 Minutes - $12.74

Should have picked up Blow as well, it was $12.74.

Just a small note/warning:

Some Blockbuster movies have been edited down to an 'R' rating due to Blockbuster's "Family-friendly" policy. I wasted my money on a previewed copy of Romance I bought there a year or so ago. The uncut version runs for 99 minutes; Blockbuster's runs for 87 minutes.

Blockbuster is evil, EEEEEEVIL!
this sale is their worst yet. selection has bit the dirt in 3 BB's ive hit. You would think with all the copies of hannible and unbreakable that they have, they might offer a good deal.

IMO, this is actually a really good deal. I went to my Blockbuster and picked up Once Upon a Time In China 2 and 3 for 10.00 each and Metal Gear Solid 2 for 30.00, which was new. But when I went to the cashier, she also marked Metal Gear down 25%, bringing the total down to $40.00 for all three. A good deal, methinks...

Some decent movies they should have for 10 bucks..(before rebate)

Nurse Betty
Vertical Limit
Sleepy Hollow ($7.00)
Miss Congeniality

I have had the same problem in the past. Try cleaning the disk with warm

water and dish soap. pat dry with a soft cloth. it works for me

In response to the coating question, I just finished the free rentals given when you buy Shrek, and I've never had a problem with a Blockbuster movie screwing up in my DVD player.

Also, when I ordered West Coast Pizza today, they gave me free Blockbuster favorites coupons! While you can't rent new releases, you can't argue with free...

If there is anyone in the Woodstock, GA area, the Towne Lake Blockbuster (big one by Kroger) does NOT put those antitheft stickers on their DVD's. I have purchased over 30 pre-viewed DVD's from them, and every one has been coating free..

Just a heads up for our Atlanta AT'ers...

The blockbusters in Maryland never have a good selection, I'm guessing the employees either steal or buy the movies.

I wouldn't worry about this for DVDs, unless they have their own pressing facility :)

Now, the VHS crowd might have to worry about this, although I've never heard of them doing this before.
