This is from an article about the Clinton folks breaking of the "W" from all the computer keyboards.

That sucks, but isn't my point.
I want to know who the heck is paying $66 for keyboards?

Um... hello $400 hammer, $5000 toilet seat.

There's definitely padding in there for other government programs that don't need to be known about publicly.
 
$30+s/h+person to inventory and order them+person to install them+disposal of old keyboards.

Even more if they have special keyboards (ie; ergonomic)

That's ok, my school is RE-networking several computer labs for NO REASON, at a cost of $350 a DROP. That's per one computer. Total bill for 3 rooms is about $60,000. Mind you, the existing network was put in less than 5 years ago. Then again they are also spending 3x as much as they should be on an addition to the school, while the Superintendant gets $100,000 a year raise....

Is it a witch hunt if there is a guilty party? & how much does it cost to prosecute someone for a $20 misdemeanor? I'm sure it's more than $20. Guess it's a matter of how much is it worth to you to defend yourself? Yes, they could have just gone out and bought replacements. But if -your house- was vandalized, would you want to see someone punished, or would you just accept it & repair the damage?
