Bought this exact pair last weekend, installed 'em last night, so far so good. 256-bit WEP enabled, broadcast strength minimized, SSID name not advertized, I'm about as secure as I can be from someone piggybacking. I did detect another network when I first fired it up too.

Not only did the discount end 08/16, but they raised the base price by $5 too, $44.99 now. The site also says there are no active coupons, but the one they have here says it is good until 08/31. Go figure. The DWL-520+ is showing out of stock for online purchase.

I need to buy the USB version, but just couldn't get to the store yesterday. Rats! Still a fairly decent price at $34.99, though.

This deal has been on for weeks, kind of like the Fry's ad's for the ECS combo, it will never go away.

Have to admit though I bought this pair with the USB adapter and router and it works very well.

I got four refurb DWL-520+ ($24.50) and one refurb DWL-650+ ($24.50) from here. Order arrived in two days. I tested all the cards and they all worked. Only complaint was that the packaging left a little to be desired.

$24.50 x 5 + $6 shipping = ~$129 for five 802.11b cards; if you grabbed the DI-614+, you can do up to 44Mbps (practically 802.11g!) when you use D-link's cards with their WAPs.

I almost never buy refurb, but these include a 1-yr warranty and they're just so much cheaper. I'm a satisfied customer. Hope this helps.

Yes my Dlinks were dropping that connection all the time. Then I read the directions and installed the drivers the correct way. No more drops since.

There is also a SMC2635W card for $20 AR. Is this card worth the extra 10. Anyone know?
