I have held off on going to 2.4Ghz because I am afraid it will interfer with my 802.11 network (and vice versa). Does anyone have any personal experience?

I used to have issues with a very old 2.4 wireless network (pre-802.11b), and now use a 802.11b with a Sony 2.4 system w/o issues. The only problem on my phone is if the microwave is being used, in which case I get loads of clicking and static.

I have no problem with my 2.4 ghz phone and my 802.11 wireless network. I use my laptop and phone together all the time.

I must be missing something, I don't see any coupon for new customers. Without the discount, it's not such a hot price.

The discount code can be found on many sites that allow people to publish codes. There is a place when checking out to enter the code.

Theoretically, phones using 2.4GHz(Bluetooth) will interfer with 802.11 network which also use 2.4GHz band. But that happens when they both frequency hopping to same channel during same time. With just several devices, that won't happen too much and I think you can't notice it.

Because microwave also uses same band. And it should affect your 802.11b network too. But with TCP/IP scheme, you may not notice it.

Anyone else do this offer? I just got an email stating that my rebate was denied because it is only good 10-08-2001 to 10-08-2001 (even though the rebate card states otherwise). HSN is telling me to call the Columbia rebate center to straighten this out. Their toll-free number for anyone interested since its not listed on the email 800-390-2344. They are closed now, so I haven't heard Columbia's response.
