Ugh. I got mine (B&M Pricematch) and its dead. Wont charge and the stylus and battery is missing. So i waited through compaq's splendid tech support (on hold 1hr) and get an RMA in which I will have to pay to get it shipped.

Oh yeah. it looks like according to compaq's system this is out of warranty already. so i have to fax the reciept.

So its still a good deal if it works in the end. But what a pain...

I used the washington zip code posted on the first page of this thread. Just change your mailing info back to normal before you submit your order. I'm crossing my fingers on this one.

Did any1 get a confirmation of your order email? I ordered once locally(93117) then got out of stock email after 1 hour, then I ordered using seattle WA zip codes but I havent gotten confirmation or rejection emails yet. I was wondering if any1 was successful in their online orders of this thing

Q: How do you check the stock of other Staples stores in another zip code?

A: Delete your Staples and www.Staples cookies in your web browser, it works! The Staples web site should ask you your zip code.

97217 (Portland, Oregon) has one in stock but it's probably either:
1) The demo itself or
2) Isn't really in stock due to a SNAFU

When I delete my Staples and www.Staples cookies and look for the PDA I am brought to http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/Zip.asp?. However if you visit this URL after your Staples cookies have been loaded it just brings you to the main Staples web site.

There HAS to be an HTML guru among you guys who knows the secret http://www.staples.com/clearmycookies.asp URL, what is it?

Its the Compaq Aero 2130.

I did get an RMA and everything from compaq so in a week or so then I will get my new one. But from what i see on this thing its pretty big. It definitely isnt pocket material. Its not very comfortable, and 10oz. Quite a difference from my 4oz m100. But it does say it has MP3 support and its color so I'll decide later what to do with it. I'd much rather have that color handspring model coming out...

For IE, Click the start key, click Find|Files or Folders, then type c:\windows\cookies in the "look in" box, search for "staples" (or just stap if you're really la-z like me).

By the way, I got this to work for an APC UPS a few weeks back after about a dozen tries, so good luck!

Xzaver -

Philips bowed out of the PPC/HPC/CE/Pocket market quite a while ago, when they dumped the Nino and Velo lines. As they themselves said, "We don't see ourselves re-entering the market in the near future."

On the bright side, this specific brand can be used with the remote control software for CE 2.11/Pocket to offer an inexpensive and truly universal alternative to the Philips Pronto.

I jumped on this deal yesterday when it broke and located one at a local Staples. I called the 800 staples.com number and told them I found one local. They called them and told them I could use a coupon AND get it for 89.99. Total in my hands... 69+some change. When I went to pick it up they said they had TONS of calls and had the only other one they had (the one I didnt get) being shipped to another store.

Its NICE. Color, great touch screen. NO GOOD WAY TO KILL APPS though. A lot of the time you have to go to the task manager to kill the default apps (calender, not taker...) Oh well, its a HECK of a deal for 69.00 and if I get tired of it, its going for 250+ on that famous auction site! :)

Hope everyone got in.

NOTE: Its an Aero 2100. Plays MP3s, but pretty slow transferring them to it. Comes with docking station pop out stylus leather (maybe) case, power cord, earphones and all.

Yes, Philip has got themself out of PDA market long time ago. I have Nino before and it eats battery like water. I got my Nino back when Office Depot clearance out Nino for $45. I just got myself HP Jornada 430SE for $100, but just got rid of it on @Bay, because it's still too big to carry. I am looking for the size of Palm V and runs on Windows CE.

I order one CPQ PDA on Staple site and hope it's the slim one. :) Still haven't received any confirmation letter from them yet.

Well DAMN, Staples must be completely out of these, they took it off of the webpage entirely. Aero returns no items and Compaq returns several but the only thing under PDAs is the iPaq USB Cradle.

Is it true that if Staples.com responds to you order by inviting you to purchase the item instead at a local store, your account has been banned?

Wait! Wait! I received a confirmation of delivery for 10/5 but I just received a disappointing e-mail.

<< From Cheryl Rxxxx - Cheryl.Rxxxx@Staples.com:
sorry, item 32649 was a clearance item and has been sold out, your order has been cancelled
>>

Geez... That wasn't a very professional e-mail and it didn't explain why I received a confirmation of a scheduled delivery. Has anyone else received a similar message?

<edit>
I tried to send a nice reply back to "Cheryl" and, guess what, the mail bounced back to me. STAPLES IS SUCK!
