HOT? CL Desktop Theater 5.1, 5 pack!?!? 138.49 after staples coupon!

These speakers are cool. I heard them at a friends house. And free shipping rules. I got speakers for almost nothing from Onsale, but paid almost 80 in shipping. That was a scam. This is a good deal.

these aren't the DTT's..these are the older versions 5.1...anyone know if they mean 5 SETS or just a 5 speaker sound system?
 
what is the difference between these and DTTs, especially if they are 5.1? Are these the FPS? I don't want to call Staples about this quite yet 🙂
 
These ones aren't digital (connectors, etc.)...and if it isn't a 5 pack, you can find them for less elsewhere
 
I did the 10pack scsi cards a while back and it literally took me about 3 months for them to get it straightened out(return and credit). They kept threatening to charge my card again after I returned them. Luckily I kept the pickup receipt.

So....what do I do....I order this 5-pack! I never learn! Maybe a 10% chance that it will come thru but what a deal it would be if they actually did ship a 5 pack!

As per previous reply....any ingram micro database guys that can verify this?

The speakers aren't FPS's b/c those only have 4 speakers 4.1. These are just the predecessor I guess, to the DTT's. These are definitely NOT worth 100+ each. For the price, you can probably pick up real DTT's...or at least the FPS 2000's (got em for 100 a year ago)...so if your looking to spend that much money, might as well go for something better! 😀
 
I used to have a set of these speakers before I got the DTT2500. These are in fact digital speakers, meaning that they DO have a coaxial digital input and they DO decode 5.1 signals so you get the Dolby Digital experience. The difference between this and the DTT2500 is power. The speakers each get 5 watts of power except the center channel, which gets a little more. Consequently the center channel speaker is a little bigger than the sats, whereas with the DTT2500 everything is the same size. Sub only gets 15W, compared to 20W with the DTT2500. They sound clean but underpowered. Not a hot deal at $140 for one, but $140 for 5 is definately hot! You can get these for about $120 if you look around hard enough.
