Be careful with these guys. I sent in for an RMA and I had to actually send a jpeg of the unit for the RMA to be accepted. (it was part of a required field). I just received a reply to my request because of the clicking noise.

Dear esquared,

Apologies for any trouble caused to you. However,we cannot send a replacement to you without full confirmation.Could you please make a video the show the problem? Please upload it in the following website:
www.youtube.com
And then please e-mail me the link of the video. We'll send you a free replacement after full confirmation.Thank you for your help and patience.

Best regards,
Rachel

Complete bullshit. I am now required to send them a video of my problem before I get a replacement??? This certainly is becoming apparent that this is a Mickey Mouse outfit here. I told them I am not sending a video and I don't have access to a video camera anyway. I told them I will just send it back and they can see for themselves. If they don't do it I will just make a chargeback on my credit card. I am now thinking I will just cancel that order for the other five I bought for a co-worker. If it's this hard to get a replacement that I don't think that this is a place I will recommend here.

In for one, thanks Joker!

BTW, I also picked up this Kingston 2GB SD card for $7.49 shipped to go with it. I wasn't sure if the new SDHC cards would work with this unit so I figured why risk it?

Nice sound from the mini-plug on my Nano (previously using a Griffin iTrip) but you cannot use the USB port to charge a device. For the price it is great and highly recommended.

With an external source I have had no problems with volume, noise, or anything. I am not sure I will use with USB or memory card given some users comments, but I will probably try it. My issue would be syncing podcast (only thing I listen to) to a flash/memory device. any suggestions?

Thanks!

Not exactly 'hi-fi' but everything works quite well. Plug it in with your source, tune your radio, lower device volume so there is no distortion, and you're good to go. The sound is band limited (no extreme highs or lows) so it sounds a little dull but it's stereo. Works better than ITrip for FM compatibility. Remote is a little weak but for $9, it's a bargain.

Ordered qty of 3 for $26.60, shipped.
Not sure how good they are but for over $8 a pop, can't go wrong.

People are cheap even for a $10 product (Can you sell it without the remote for a dollar less?...WAHHHHHH!!)
People don't take the time to read, or figure out the product before complaining. (It has no shuffle/random mode...WAHHHHHHH!!!)
IT DOES. You hold down the "play" button!
People are retards (The remote has a 2-3 second delay...WAHHHHH!!)
NO IT DOESN'T. You didn't aim it at the IR eye and you finally made contact after pushing the button for 2-3 seconds.

Yeah, but if you skim through and summarize the reviews, you WILL get a good idea of this product and what to expect. The forums for each product are a great way to get information, etc...My experience with DealExtreme is that it's not realistic to return anything, so you just have to hope things work when you get them. I've lost about $15 in defective items, but have purchased enough other working items to make it worth the risk.

That is a good question. I think the player might get confused if you have your MP3 player hooked out to both the line IN, and the USB ports, though. Still, worth someone trying this out.

I think the easiest way to use this unit is to just put your music on an SD card or USB flash drive, but it would be coll if you could use the Line-in and play music from your own MP3 player, and use the USB port to keep it charged up.

In for one, btw

Ok I haven't read all these posts but I'm going to offer my opinion.

I ordered two of these, one for each vehicle, and they are utter, absolute garbage. I don't care how cheap they are, they're not worth it.

I purchased them specifically for my Zune, and you have to turn the volume to max (16 I believe) on the device, THEN turn the volume up about 4 times higher than normal on the receiver just to hear anything. And most of what I heard was interference. On my particular receiver the volume was up to over 40, and 10 is where it needs to be for the regular radio to be loud.

Oh, if anybody still wants some, I'll sell you two for $10...

If that's a shipped price, I'll take them today!
I'd come pick them up if you were closer. (I'm in Tulsa).
I never go your direction. :(

mine doesn't work: I tune the radio to the frequency on the display, but hear nothing but static. Looks like I have a busted transmitter...

Are you sure...

...that the player is close enough to the radio antenna? Some cars probably block the signal much more than others and have larger gaps depending on where they stuck the antenna as well.

....that the seemingly 'blank' station you're tuned to just doesn't have a lot of static on it maybe too strong for your transmitter to break through? Try other frequencies.

....that the MP3 player is actually playing successfully some audio? Maybe your MP3s are encoded in a way it can't play or it is paused or the USB/SD card isn't registering or the audio cable to your other player isn't working?

How long did it take to get these after ordering? I'm assuming a while since it's supposedly coming from China (or maybe that was a joke).

If it's by HK Post Airmail, couple of weeks from order date. Got my first batch of 3 in 12 days, second batch of 4 was shipped after 5 days. They came registered airmail so, it had to be signed for. They make great, cheap stocking stuffers.

yup, tried multiple stations. my regular iPod apdater works just fine. if the thing is too weak to get to the antenna, I'm in no better shape since the thing is useless.
The title of the song is showing and the timer is counting time. I also tried the line in, but no luck.

Mine works great as long as you find a empty or staticky station. Sound quality is better than anything other FM transmitter I have tried. Is there any way for it to remember random play after the car turns off?

mine works fine but it does not fit snuggly into the cig. socket so i'm over a big bump it stops then pick up again.
It does not remember where it was left off, it start at the beggining of the song rather than where it left off.
Anyboy know how do I get it to play random?

so I guess I got a defective one due to luck of the draw.
their RMA process seems to be a major pain, it asks you to upload a picture or a movie demonstrating the problem. how do I show that the transmitter isn't working in a picture?!?!!
started the process with paypal to have the charges disputed due to DOA, hopefully that will get their attention better than simply submitting an RMA request.

Anyone figure out any possible playlist file support of this thing?
Failing that any tips/tricks on sorting the sound files so they'll play grouped by album and track at least (other than the obvious renaming into some kind of alphabetical / numeric order)?
Will this go into sub-folders (disc directories) and play stuff in those automatically? Sub-Sub-folders?
If it does go into folders then I assume this is a sorting option so I could have 001-Folder 002-Folder 003-Folder ... etc. and they'd play in that order?

I refused to make a video, which was their "demand/request" before I would get an RMA. I don't have a DV camera and I doubt it would show/hear the rhythmic clicking that was coming thorough the speakers. I also would have had to make a youtube account because of this.

I replied back to them taht this was complete nonsense and nowhere on their website was there any mention of doing this extra work for an RMA. I was ready to do a chargeback when I saw an email from them and it looks like they are shipping me another one. I won't know for a week as they just sent it 3-4 days ago. Last one took around 10-11 days to get to me.

I recieved my second one today.
The display is different (the words are bigger/bolder), and it puts out a much stronger signal.
Weird.

Pictures, please. I'd like to know how to tell them apart and to see if I got the old or new revision. Mine puts out a pretty quiet FM signal on its maximum volume setting, so I assume I may have the old version. If they have a new revision that is much louder I might order one or two.
