The color hue of the pictures on the i950 look much better
I think it depends. I went to a Canon Digital seminar and had a picture printed off a 4-color i470D and the 6-color i950. Adminttedly the i470D might not be as nice as the i850 but it prints with similar specs. Now the picture from the i470D actually looked nicer than the i950. I think it has to do with the shadows. I had a picture of my lazy dog sleeping on the top of the couch (kinda like most cats) next to a window and with the i470D colors were brighter and more true to life whereas the print from the i950 looks kinda washed out. I think it maybe the picture taken was washed out due to time of day, Dusk. If you looked at the blinds in the back you would notice that the i950 was more real. BTW the picture was taken with an Canon S45. But nonetheless I like the print from the i470D better, oh well maybe too realistic is too realistic. I'm going to scan the two pics and put them up later if you want to see if you can tell the difference.
BTW, Realguns I would bitch about getting the cash from the tree. Can you imagine the costs of it. You would have to pay for good security 24-7, good money too so they don't steal from it. Costs of insuring the tree for loss of income in a drought or a bad infestation. Hire people to go up and get the money or get it yourself and you gotta make sure the people don't steal. The worker's comp. Your own insurance, because that tree ain't going be heathly for you to go up and down with accidents. And not to mention the taxes, cuz uncle sam always wants a bit of the american pie, especially if it's yours
dakata24, you shouldn't have to use any special settings. Like I mentioned above the guy at the seminar just used the regular setting and the setting for the glossy pro paper. I did the same with the picture I tried out on the company's i850. Maybe it's the picture you took. I don't edit the pictures I took and it used the Exif print info so that helped. And most cameras I was told use the same Exif standard, not just Canon. If you are in California, Texas, Minnesota, Florida, New York and New Jersey go to one of these seminars to ask the presenters for a few tips, maybe test out the printers just to see maybe it's your camera not the printer (or vice versa). The guy in my area was nice and printed the pictures right from my camera so I could see the difference. Go here to read more about it:

s0ssos, the pictures are reall good. I compared Costcp prints and my untrained eye sees only good pictures. I haven't tried out the lazy dog picture but will soon, gotta visit Costco to do some b-day pictures and will get this done. Then I will have three comparisions to look at.
