cool. just got mine on backorder 😀 nice lady. even had paper clips available to help me hit 250, but i asked for pens instead. 🙂
 
i am required to print out my emailed coupon and send it to officemax in cleveland (Cuz im outside their delivery area). no problem though, cuz i receive coupons from them anyway. i dont understand why u guys dont do it.
 
I, too, would like to know how to get on officemax's mailing list.

Also, what did you guys tell the CSR about the coupon? I have a link to the coupon (from chubby wallet), but I don't have the actual coupon or a coupon code. Should I just say that I got in in an email?

they will ask for the coupon code and the catalog code. and then later they will want a print out of it.

i dont know how the catalog code works, but when i mentioned it to her, she was surprised and said "oh! that's legit!"
 
dang it. Just attempted it, and it was OOS in my zip code, but later when she was putting it into the system, it didn't come back as discontinued, so she was going to put the order in for the S200. So I "changed my mind" and hung up.

Oh well, I didn't need a second A70
 
ok, these peole are on glue. first they told me everything was backordered and i said that was fine. then they told me i couldnt use the coupon because there was no way it was emailed to me, it must have been someone else that emailed it to me? so i got out my catalog to use a $25 coupon on it which was completely legit and they tried to tell me that since an item was substituted that they dont allow the use of any coupons. i asked when he made up that rule. he said i can either order without coupons or he'd cancel the order and hang up the phone, so i kindly hung up on him. i guess i'll wait a bit and give it another try.
 
Thank you, relaxandreflect...for changing the title and also for the deal. Just ordered and it was accepted. I live in central FL so they must still have the A70 in stock.

Re coupon, mentioned that I had an online coupon, read out the first part of the web address and that was that. Operator was very cordial...when I was stumped as to how to get an extra $.01 to qualify for the discount, she offered up a 10 pack of pens for $.99 (originally asked for one of the free after rebate items which was sold out).

Said it would be delivered tomorrow PM. Thanks, again.

BTW, your W**** wouldn't be hot in church. Quite the contrary. The church is intended to avoid a very hot "location" in the after-life.
 
Do you call your local B&M or officemax online (1-800-283-7674)?

At FW it's an online coupon link (50 off 250), no code showed. So is the code you get from email a different one?

This sure is a HOT deal, thanks....

Your post came too late. It was like a sharp slap to the face and I snapped out of my AHDISOE (an acronym for a relatively new and dangerous symptom - AnandTech Hot Dealitus Induced State Of Euphoria). All I remember was that I was reading a thread about a digicam and I blacked out. When I regained consciousness, my wallet was next to the phone and I was clutching my credit card!

LOL, almost bought the Axim...couldn't justify it, so used my Dell codes on a Dimension 2350 2.2ghz Celery with Planar 15" LCD...(not for me!)

I'm wary about buying any PocketPC PDAs right now...this summer we get the the bumper crop of new PPC2003 handhelds, OLED displays, SDIO WiFi and all sorts of lovin'...

 
I just tried to get in on this and they told me that the s200 is sold out and I asked if they had any subsitutions and was told that they too are sold out.
 
uncJIGGA - Same dilemma for me. I think I'll hold out on buying a Pocket PC PDA until they can offer this for around $300

256MB memory (instead of 64MB)
600MHz or faster CPU
Slim high capacity lion battery
Most importantly BUILT IN WIFI

When I can get all that for $300 or less then I'll jump.
 
Ross, I'll settle for:

- 128mb builtin
- 500MHz
- removable li-ion battery
- OLED or 2nd gen transflective (high res!)
- SDIO
- removable compactflash sleeve (gotta have GPS!)
 
Officemax.com 800# CSR also told me I couldn't use the coupon b/c the card and cf reader already use a coupon. Local officemax said he would hold his last one for me and would take the coupon but I don't have the physical coupon. I doubt I could print out the OfficeMax.com website page with the coupon and take it into the B&M. Thoughts?

Edit: I can't find the Canon s200 or A70 on OfficeMax.com at all.

Rossman, do you have the scan yet?
