is this hot? haven't followed DOTDs for quite some time cos of how disappointing it showed us it could be.

You never know what you are getting with Kingston Valueram. I bought a 123MB PC133 stick from Outpost last December. It had the very questionable Nanya chips. This ram would not work at CAS 2 at 100MHz. Usually I have pretty good success with CAS3 133 at CAS2 100MHz.

I put this Nanya ram in a test computer and the computer would not even boot -- nothing, not even video display. I reset the BIOS and was able to get the computer running. So before you put Nanya ram in your computer, set the BIOS to CAS3.

All this ranting done, I have to say that the last few Kingston chips haven't been Nanya chips, so maybe Kingston wised up and got rid of this stuff.

some of these sticks came with Infenion chips which is by far the best of the value ram.
been running 140mhz for months.

btw, IBM chips isn't that bad if you get one(s)

edit: I got this stick w/Infenion chips way back when buy.com had it on DOTD last year.
