This is the second time office depot has screwed me over. First time was that chair + coupon code fiasco.

they prolly kept it for themselves.

I ordered two from the OD that is furthest away in the city I live in. Will see if they have it in stock when I go to pick it up.

Online printable receipt says to give them 4 hours before the online order will be ready. Does anyone know if I will get an email indicating it is ready to pick up?

I think they might have done the same to me.

Similarly, it's also a known fact that OD is bad about simply hiding products that are on sale, and have been getting a lot of PM's on, in the back of the store and lying about stock. They did that to me before too, until I got a young employee that didn't know any better to go back and check, and bingo.

Just wanted to report back that I did, in fact, just today, pick mine up.

Took a while to get it because the woman at the customer service desk left me standing at the desk without even asking me what I wanted. She then proceeded to tell one of the other women, from half-way across the store, "HEY HE'P DAT GUY!" Feh. Anyway, when the woman helped me, she told me,"Hey, what can I do for you?" I told her,"Just picking up a surge protector." She told me that she had it, gave me the papers, then laughed and said,"Why couldn't she have just picked it up and handed it to you?" and then gave me a funny look. Interesting way to start the day, kinda funny too. 'Cept the fact that the first lady doesn't know what customer service is.

Not sure how often I'll be going back to Office Depot, but if I see another deal like this, you can bet I'd be there. Nice surge protector, too, just seems to lack Coaxial cable protection, but I think there's ethernet and/or DSL protection. I'll just be using it for a tv, dvd, PS2, and lamp, so it's no big deal. But don't get it expecting it to be the greatest surge protector ever.

Aside from my nit-pickiness, great deal.
