NOw

600 DAy/month.
unlimited nites/weekends + Free Long Distance!!
cost $39.99!!!!!

one thing though you have to have teh 2 year contract!! or else it won't work on you guys!

AWESOME GIVE ME 200 more min to talk to my gf!! =P

Two thumbs up for AT&T Wireless. I had Cingular (aka Suckular), Sprint, Verizon, and Nextel and none of them worked
at my house (virtually no signal). Picked up the AT&T wireless service this past January and I'm getting 3 to 4 bars
on the signal meter. I getting 200 minutes + 15% minutes = 288 + 100 minutes (promo) = 388 minutes anytime.
2,000 free nights and weekend minutes and free long distance along with all the bells and whistles (call waiting, forward,
voicemail, text messaging, etc). Also, I'm getting a 5 to 9% discount each month based on plan usage. This is a business
account. All that for $29.99 and the kicker is I'm on a 1 year contract. In fact, when they bumped me from 1,000 nights and
weekend minutes to 2,000 they didn't extend my contract. Check with your company to see if they have a similar deal.

Nice plan.

I got almost the same deal through Cingular, (doesn't suck in my area), but with a 1yr contract.

600 anytime + 3600 Night & Weekend, free long distance, local calling to cali, idaho, etc.

Can't wait till ATT is offered in my area Cingular sucks, Verizon customer service is terrible, Sprint pcs I lose the signal walking from one room in my house to the other....

From ATT, I get

2 phones - one bill
$49.99 each phone per month

Includes the following:
1500 shared anytime Nationwide minutes
2000 Nights and weekends
15% more inc anytime minutes until Sept 02
200 more anytime minutes until August 02
A list of 6 local or 800 numbers that are always free incoming or outgoing and the other phones (up to 5) on the account are also free at all times.

Beat that! ATT rocks.....Make up some bogus story and tell them a friend is with them and his plan includes such and such....they will do thier damndest to make a deal that works for you.....

Zwingle - how on earth did you get that?
I thougth the post that staplessucks was great!
He had
500 peak nationwide
free ld
unlimited nights and weekends
$40

AT&T is going to offer GSM in my area w/ $39.99 plan - 500 peak minutes and 3000 night & weekend minutes.
They going to have the model Nokia 8390 out in the market.

yukstah
ATT still offers the "Group Share" plan, but under the name "Shared Advantage" I believe. The plans are a bit more expensive than they were when I signed on last year and the minutes are not as good......but as I stated, tell them that Verizon or Cingular is offering you such and such for x amount of dollars and they will more than likely either meet or beat thier prices. The churn rate for cell phone customers is high, customer retention is a large issue for cell phone providers. The only thing that keeps most customers is because they don't want to change phone numbers and that is about to change. The FCC is ruling that cell numbers can be taken from one company to another.....meaning you can keep your cell number and change providers at your whim.......good for us.....bad for them.

FYI - If the FCC does rule that you can move your number, every company will charge a hefty fee to do so. The latest stockholder reports (from a company who will remain nameless) said that the average charge to move numbers would be $50, and could be charged by both the company you are leaving, and the company you are moving to. The stockholders got to vote on whether or not a charge should be imposed on leaving and incoming numbers for changeovers.

Unless the rules have changed recently, you do not have to wait for your contract to expire in order to take advantage of this deal. If you changed your plan today, you would in effect be agreeing to stay with ATTWS through April 2, 2004. ( I believe you can buy your way out of these contracts for a fee as well.)

Cheers,

Pete

Just got off the phone with ATT Customer care. They will allow for a 1 year contract.
Im on it and so is my mom and brother. I checked online my account and it ends in a year.

does anyone know if this deal works only with at&t wireless, or will it also work with suncom. i'm on suncom with the suncom states plan, and i could use some more minutes, or some free nationwide roaming or something 🙂

Anyone know what the current promotions are?

I recently added the unlimited nights and weekends.

I heard you can add promotions anytime you don't have to renew. Is this correct?

AT&T rocks...you just have to call every few months to see if there are promotions going on.

I went from 400 anytime minutes and 3000 n/w for $39/mo to: 800 anytime and unlimited n/w for 39/mo just by calling and asking. i also stumbled upong their 12 month phone upgrade discount.

Wow! 800 anytime min for $40 month? Did you have to agree to a 2-year contract or anything? This would rock compared to my current 400 min for $40.

Thanks OP, good news for my sister. As for me, I think I have a great deal. I have 2 different numbers with Verizon, each gets 300 peak, 1000 mobile to mobile and 3000 nights/weekends (my nights begin at 7pm). With taxes, my bill for both phones is $36.24 or $18.12 a month. (I also get new phones or $$$ credit every year). I guess being one of their first 25 customers in my area (seems like 100 years ago), I did have some negotiating power for being a "loyal" customer.
