Price at Sears and BB plus some other stores is presently $999.99 on sale.

However you can use the present Sears offer of 10% off using your Sears card and the total comes to $958 at 6% sales tax.

Great Price. SEARS LINKY

I picked up one and it is a good set. Not Awesome but considering I am a sports nut. LCD wouldnt cut it at this price/size/performance ratio. I had a LCD Samsung LN46a850 and I couldnt stand this 120hz Samsung TV with Sports.

There is also a 24 months no Interest offer at Sears with the Sears card instead of the extra 10% off. If anyone cares to do some calculations as to what is a better deal please do so.

Good luck.

If anyone asks me what kind of new TV to get I always recommend a Panny plasma..you cannot beat the price/performance ratio IMO

nice find

I have the 50G10 and the only real difference is the THX mode that looks really weird (magenta looks purple, adds lots of yellow).

It you want a quality HDTV, this is it.

That's $738 (before taxes) if you use a Sears card and Bing. Great Price. Just imagine what kind of deals there will be on this generation towards BlackFriday/Xmas, etc.

How does Bing work with Sears? When I search the item on Bing, it says it has cashback. But when I click on the item and it takes me to the sears product page, there's no mention of the cashback, how much, etc. Am I doing something wrong?

cant get the sears card discount online unless you know a way......

I just got $106 credited back on my card so my final deal was $848.

FYI coupon codes that are listed on the Sears website do not work with this deal.

APPSAVINGS15 and TOUCHDOWN

I found the BING CB as 2% not 8%. Remeber if you use a BING link to a camera that gets 8% and then buy a TV. You wont automatically get the higher CB.

Its a Great deal using the Sears card tho with the "Todays" price and picking up the TV.

Wrong, whatever shows on the bing popup is what you get. So if it shows 8% through the search, you get it.

Ha. Well. I have seen a Higher percent listed and gotten less deposited once it has been reviewed by whomever reviews the cashback stuff.

Whatever dude.

So how much juice? My 36" CRT takes 100W. I've yet to find a LCD or plasma that takes less.

Thanks

Panny plasmas are like hot plates...Which is why I go LCD. You will win the juice argument for a few years until they come out with a super efficient technology --- but don't hold your breath even then...because then they will expand the "normal" set to 90" to offset the savings.

I seriously doubt that. What make/model is it and post a picture of the tag on the back of the TV (will say how many amps it will draw max).

Current generation Panasonic plasmas are lot more efficient than older plasmas (even 2008 models). I saw some reviews where they would have lower consumption than 2008 model LCDs.

Tons of people at SD, including myself say otherwise. So I guess YMMV. I've always gotten whatever shows on the screen. Take screenshots and bing will adjust it. As far as this thing being a "hot plate", I've noticed no heat issues from mine.

Didn't use the tag, too hard to get to. I used a Kill-A-Watt. The total of the Phillips 36" TV (~10YO) with an image on screen + VCR + Dish DVR = 130W. By previous measurement the VCR + DVR = 48W. So I was a little high, the TV only uses 82W. 100W is easier to remember and until I can find a TV under 50W I'll run the CRT into the ground.

While a tag number is better than the "Energy Star" BS, I believe a Kill-A-Watt trumps all. Are you a believer now?

Kilawatt is real time usage and it just works.

The new Plasma panels are way better than 2 years ago. Not quite as good as LCD but still good. If you see a difference in your elec bill every month after getting a Plasma today. I would be suprised.

While I did see some sets in the show room that was hot I haven't had that problem with my set and as far as how much juice it is using I don't know or care but I doubt it makes much difference to my $400.00 power bill and it looks great mounted on the wall with a much better picture then the 32 inch crt it replaced.

No, 20" CRT televisions use around 80 watts. No way your 36" model averages 82 watts.

The coupon code Halftime gave me a 10% instant discount, and I am supposed to get another 10% off using my sears card, plus a mythical 2-8% from bing. If I get 2% from bing, that should take my price down to $786 after tax

The 10% touchdown code is for online only.

The 10% off with the Sears card is instore only from what I can tell.

However the Touchdown code doesnt apply to "Great Deal Priced stuff" online.

I called Earlier today and couldn't get the price adjusted to have the 10% CC + 10% Touchdown so ymmv.

The easy way is go to Sears and use your Sears card to get a guaranteed 10% off.

The Hard way is to do it online for a pickup and call Sears and try and get lucky with all the above. 10 + 10 + BING.
