yeah thats all well and good, but we now need some deals on some micro-atx mobos! 🙂
most of which are 80$+ for like an nforce 2 board, and that puts it in the range of the older SFF cases..

still cheaper than purchasing the latest shuttle and being limited on upgrades once they get old

That's exactly my plan. Along with some $9.99 AR OfficeMax RAM from last week, a $9.99 AR CD-RW from a couple of weeks back, a free AR modem, and a $58.99 AR WD 120JB from Fry's. Life is good.

Well, despite the problems with my mobo (doesn't do what I need, but works), the Antec Aria was pretty easy to work with. Had a couple of mistakes that I learned from, but it's all just learning how to fit everything in there, which really isn't that hard. I like the case so far, it's the mobo that I'm not so hot about. 😉

Amazingly detailed and well-photographed review of this case can be found at:

Aria Review

by the end of the review, I felt I had disassembled the case and built a system! 🙂

The only problem is this is the fugliest thing I have ever seen, by a wide margin. Wide as hell, black plastic front,... RRRING RRRING ... seventies are calling, and they want their stereo designs back.

its actually blue, but who actually cares! i actually like this case a lot. i like small and compact computers. my only grudge against it is taht it only comes with a 300W psu, which wont be enuff for an a64 3700+, mobo, raptor harddrive, and the new line of video cards.
