wanna hear something freaky? I ordered a 1240 from onvia for my friend on wednesday, and it arrived at his house TODAY

anyway, I got my 1030b from ems as well. too a little while, but got here safe and sound, all intact, and is now my little wind tunnel.

good choice on cases.

This case is fantastic, with a solid power supply, tank like construction, easy accessabililty, cool look, and 4 aux. fan slots, this case kicks some ass. I have black version, and I love it.

im curious, in comparison to the 830, how much bigger is it? because the 830 is pretty big, I dont mind the size, but, I just wanna see if it'll fit under my desk snug. ANd, also, is it any heavier than the 830? that thing is pretty darn heavy

But I think I'm gonna have to go with the 1030. My 2 yr old loves to push buttons, and I'm also a little suspicious about the recent death of my floppy drive. So the locking front cover on the 1030 will be great!

For those with the 1030, can you tell me about the front cover?. Can it be easily removed permanantly (without breaking it) so you don't have to open and close it everytime you want to access the external drives? Does it look decent with the cover off?

U can easily remove the cover but it looks like crap without the cover. Its lke there is something sticking out.

Great case that I ordered from Onvia after calling them and asking when they MIGHT be getting some in. The guy said that a bunch of warehouse DID in fact have them in and my order is currently at "Sent to Warehouse". I am expecting this to go through a lot cheaper then this thread has it listed for, with free shipping of course. I will let you all know if they do in fact have it in stock.

I got the sx1240 with 400watt PS from onvia for 137 shipped. it is a great case and just make sure you get the one with the 412PS and not the 403PS because that one doesn't support the 12volt needed for the P4's. AMD rulz anyhow!!!

whoever said they were going to get the fong Kai because &quot; if you have the best of everything else... &quot; I have to tell you but this is just about the best it gets for quality build and awesome airflow, yes there are definately some that have more fans etc but the combination that this case gives is soo nice. Dang thing is soo big inside theres been many an eve when I though I might just climb in there to sleep for the eve a little closer to my goodies ..

Keep in mind though folks it is a server case thats why the door is there... if your going to be in and out of your drives constanlty and dont want the door in the way or think it looks funny open, i'd go for the 830, its essentially the same case as the 1030 but has a few less features, normally just one less of something, it doesnt have the door oh and it comes in only beige but u gotta love the sandpaper routine.... u 2 can make it any color you want and its actually a little more stylish looking for a workstation. Just my two cents on one bada$$ case
