This is not a hot deal. $25 for a book on computer hardware - what a joke..

Is it hardbound?

its not dual head, and I don't think its the reference card -- as I don't believe those had dvi support... because thats what it the yellow connector on the far right is

This is only true in our lives.....for the general public this book will still apply 3 years from now....look at the success of all the "(whatever) for Dummies" books. Remember, that only we try to buy the newest things to stay current as possible....the public keeps things for at least 18 months if not longer. Hell, I know some people that still have a 486 running Win95.

Don't we get a free autographed copy if we signed on as a year long subscriber? Well....we should, being that half the features (buddy list) and stuff aren't working......grrrrrrrrr

Hey....I resemble that remark huesmann. I still have a very nice Technics turntable and several thousand albums. There is nothing like listening to some classic Stones, Zep, and Eagles with all their hiss, cracks and pops intact. Just as I remember them.

Yeah. My uncle recently asked me if he should get a remanufactured PII 200 (with MMX!!!) with Windows 95 to replace his 486 with Windows 3.1. I said, "...not unless they are giving it to you."

/me thinks that a free forum subscription should come with the book. Then I'd buy the book, give it to my buddy as a gift, and keep the subscription ;)

just a thought
