Depends on what you do. Dual core are for people who need it and if your a gamer or not a heavy multitasker than they won't help ya much. I would never get a p4 3.6. If i wanted a fast single cpu system i would get a amd 3000+ venice core and overclock it which would beat the p43.6.

This is a hot deal if you own a PC and use antivirus software, or a software firewall, or a software VPN while you game you will see an improvement in performance over a single core system. Benchmark sites bench games on "clean" systems just drivers, and game. On a typical system you have 5-6 little icons in the system tray eating away at processor resources. That's where you'll notice the diference.

I've just installed mine. I can't run 240x10, same as my prior Winchester, but I can run 265x9, same as my prior Winchester. Odd, considering that I have different RAM, Video Card...

AMD Power is telling me that it's 1800...any idea why? If I right click on my computer it tells me 2400

So it seems it's hit or miss in getting a Toledo @ZZF. There's nothing I dislike more than relying on my luck.

But such is the nature of OCing, LOL. Gotta love it!

Can anyone point to a guide on OC'ing? I am a complete newb when it comes to this stuff, and I don't understand all the voltage stuff! :(

We've sold to quite a few ATer's, and every one of them got Toledos. You can get answers straight from them if you post a question about it over in CPUs/Processors though; people may not see it here :)

darn I was hoping I could tell the guy I bought mine form to send me a CD version

oh well I guess

If I can get at least 2.4ghz Ill be happy

I have yet to hear one person that didn't get passed 2.4. Originally i was kinda like you but i told myself i would be happy if i could hit 2.5

I have an X2 3800+ (Toledo core) on the ASRock board and I can't get past 2.0Ghz and be stable, so now you know of at least one person who can't :(

I didn't get the chip from ZZF though and I am happy with it at stock speeds :)

S13, what is your board and what are your settings? Maybe you forgot to lower the LDT multi or something..
