Radio Shack has the DRC350N Progressive Scan DVD player on sale for $99. The website also lists a $50 MIR giving a final price of $49.99. Not bad for any DVD player. Amazon sys original price is $199.

The DRC350N has some mixed reviews (i.e. crappy JPG), but the videophile sites (hometheaterspot, avsforums, etc.) seem to think it is at least respectable.

Claims to play just about every kind of media (VCD, SVCD, etc.) A VCDHelp poster says it played the following without problems:
- An NTSC DVD+R with a region-free copy of a movie
- An NTSC DVD+RW with a region-free copy of another movie
- An NTSC SVCD on CD-R
- An NTSC VCD on CD-R
- A PAL VCD on CD-R
- A pressed PAL VCD (Pink Floyd)
- A CD-RW with MP3's at 128kbits/sec CBR

The web page for the product says there is a rebate but the linked form says it expired. I don't know what to make of it...
