Tigerdirect reminds me of "Xena: Warrior Princess." Tons of sins in the past but no matter what they do to atone for them and no matter how good they are now, people will never forget (or forgive!).

Personally I think this is a hot deal and if I needed a 17" LCD I'd jump on this.

While I am wary of Tigerdirect, and have had some bad experiences (placing my order on backorder, but charging me immediately, and then shipping after the rebate period had expired), this is a "mildly warm" deal (same price as the best price at NewEgg for 17" LCD) at full price. Also, you have 30 days to get your rebates sent in.

just got the monitor from Newegg, live in WA, got it less than 3 days. monitor looks great, no dead pixel just like many reviewers said. i dont bother to try its built-in speakers since i know it won't sound any better than my $5 one. this monitor can't tilt horizontally. the only thing i dont like about this monitor is, it can't be set flat (0 degree) in front of you, it maxed out at about 80 degree angle, which sux for me cuz i have a raised hutch on my desk.

i got my friend to order one. it was shipped yesterday, here's to hoping it'll actually arrive undamaged. after that we'll hound the rebate center to make sure it comes back.

Just got mine... so far I like it, sharp and clear.
DVD's and TV look great on it also.
Unlike some LCD's, this actually looks decent in some of it's non-native resolutions...
Happy so far. Can't beat the price.... Now for the Rebates:roll:
