can someone tell me what gauge wire i will need? soon i will buy a 7.1 receiver and lcd tv. DVD player and PC will be hooked up to the receiver. need 6-10ft gauges on component, hdmi and dvi cables. thanks.

i am running the 28awg hdmi cable 6' from my hd dvr and must say it is crystal clear with no issues. i am also runing into a 720p tv, so if you are doing 1080p or are gong longer you may want to go larger in gauge.

YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the OP!!!!!!! Monoplace is much cheaper than Deep Surplus and they offer USPS shipping!!!

Prices are low enough you just might want to buy a few generic cable options just to have them around.

I bought a LCD display for my PC, and found out it supports HDCP and connection to my cable box, IF, I have a HDMI to DVI cable. Take a look in Best Buy or Compusa, the prices are freaking INSANE, like $90 for 10 ft cable. I had to pay $23 at Fry's or wait to watch HD on my new LCD for a weekend and a few days on a $6 monoprice cable.
