I checked my local office depot, and they told me that that sku was for a chair that they discontinued. And when I told them the upc they said they do not have that in there system

It sounds like a pretty impressive tablet. The very popular Wacom Graphire tablets sell for around $99 last time I checked. They are very good tablets from what I hear.

This Aiptek Hyperpen 6000 has a nice 512 level pressure sensative pen and a larger active area of 4.5" x 6" as opposed to Wacom's 4x5 tablets.

Searched yahoo's shopping site and found a place selling these for 69.95. So, this should be almost a steal at the price mentioned! I may just head out and get one. Hopefully, they will be available in the B&M near me. =D

also, just checked at compusa.com and these Hyperpen 6000 are selling for 69.99 there also.

Just got off the phone with the local OD and they said they used to carry the Aiptek Hyperpen 6000 but dont carry it any more. The guy even checked for any existing tablets but couldnt find any. He suggested the web site for more info but the web site doesnt seem to have any idea of what the !#@! a tablet is :) Oh well, one of these days we might get a good deal on a tablet :)

Later.

I don't understand the OD website at all. It's the most ungodly jungle I've ever been to. Searching on the site doesn't bring up anything useful! I just don't understand it, and I can't seem to find anything on this tablet on the website. err...

yep I'm complaining cuz my credit card situation is outta whack :(
And I want one of these things too...

Don't give up, I would say.

I just called 4 stores in different areas, and computer showed three of them had one left. However, 1 of them was false information and the rest two were sold out today. Therefore, I guess if you continue calling, you would get one, although I am bored calling around any more. OD only have limited number of local stores and you only need to call at most 5 in each state(some will help you check other stores, some not). I have checked AR, LA and MS. If anyone succeeded under the courage from this post, please get one for me.;-) Thanks!

I just found one whoopee! Last one in the glass case. Now one problem, the rebate says it's expired on Dec. 31, 2000. Now I got to see if the rebate is in existemce anywhere else. Thanks Rav!

Well, I saw one (in the glass case) in the Encinitas, CA store and read the same expiration date on the box . . . so it's still there, unless you got it M. There may be others out there, and would still be worth it for $30 for some folks.

Nope got the last one in La Verne, CA. Do anyone have one with an extended rebate? I looked everywhere and it looks like 12/31/2000 the newest rebate.
