I bought the Aiptek 6000U a few days ago from OD B&M for $29.88 and it said on the sticker that there was a $20.00 MIR. So I brought it home, only to find that the rebate DID expire back in December. I didn't want to keep the tablet so I returned it a couple days later. I asked the CSR if they could honor the rebate and just knock off another $20 from the original $29.88 price and she said no.

I went back to the computer hardware section and the lady who originally sold me the tablet remembered who I was and asked me if I had found the rebate for the tablet. I told her the situation about it being expired and that I had come to return it. She said that in instances like this, OD can call the manufacturer and get another rebate of some sort to honor the one that's expired. I didn't really understand what she meant. What's funny is that they're still selling the Voodoo3 2000PCI with a $30 rebate that expired last year (Don't know if it's from OD or from 3Dfx).

My friend is going to OD today and I told him to see if they had put the tablet back on the shelf for a reduced price (hopefully around $10 - $15. If so, I told him to pick it up for me. Will keep you updated
