These drives come with a 1-year warranty, which is kinda meh. You can, however, buy an Extended Warranty from Western Digital -- which upgrades it to a 3-year warranty -- for $15.

Summary: $35 for a 3-year warranty, after MIRs.

i agree, it would be awesome if pricing returned to normal sale price of $20 for this drive w/out rebates w/rebates, nah this drive's not worth $30 retail

WD rebates seem to be pretty good - all mine have come in. I still prefer Seagate and a 5 year warranty, but 80GB for $20 is great for some cheap storage
