It worked for me...but I had to jump through some hoops.

First, I tried it several times this morning by going through a Fatwallet thread link. I could not find the $5 off link. I did NOT fiddle around with my temp files, cache, whatever.

Now, tonight, I just tried it a few minutes ago, and got the $5 off link. I followed the link, created a new account, picked out a DVD, and went through the checkout process up until where it asks for Credit card information. At no time did it give me a $5 off coupon.

I start feeling pissed off at Best Buy...but I log out completely, then log back in. I notice my Shopping Cart total dropped $5 from $17 to $12. EUREKA! I go to my shopping cart and it says "$5 off"

Picked up "Voices of a Distant Star" DVD for $13 shipped. 😀

Why bother wasting a good coupon for something that you can get the same price @ Deepdiscountdvd.com?

If I'm not mistaken, you have to be a new customer correct?
I called BB and a guy told me it was for enticing people to open a new account. I opened a new account, ordered some dvd's and got to the "Checkout" final page. I didn't see $5 off.

MAN, you guys are getting a bit carried away with this thing.......... It's just FIVE BUCKS, not like $150 instant rebate off a 200 GB hard drive or something that spectacular.

(But of course I got my $5 off, BTW )😉

Did anyone get the following e-mail? If so, does it mean they're cancelling the order?:

We encountered a problem while processing the order you placed on 10/12/2003. We will process your order as soon as possible.

Thank You.

I can't bring myself to buy Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star) unless they release it with both of the Japanese audio tracks. ;.;
