No, you don't have to be a new customer. The image says 'sign in or create a new account' in order to receive the $5 discount.

Another FYI, the non-promo image has this URL:

and the $5 promo image has this URL:

Cicking on the promo image link pops up a little window that says:

"By creating an account or just signing in, you'll be able to keep products in a Wish List, receive personalized offers and get great promotions. And, for creating an account or signing in right now, you'll get $5 off your order. To receive the $5 off, you must create an account and place your order before you log out, or before your session expires.
...."

There's a link on this pop-up window that gives you the option to either sign-in or create an account.

doesnt look like you can link the coupon..

Went to Link and got new Matrix for $10.71 AT.

The only bad thing - it's a preorder, so can't flag it for local pickup. Maybe change that later?

Link worked, but didnt give me the $5 off after I created my account and added item...went all the way to step just before final checkout...no $5 off shows up...

For anyone not able to get the $5 off, try this:

- close any browser windows that are viewing bestbuy.com
- go to your cookie manager and delete all bestbuy.com cookies (or clear them all, just to make sure you don't miss one).
- go to the $5 off link first, then sign-in or create an account
- select the matrix reloaded and add to cart
- You should see the "$5 off single order" appear

Hope this helps some people out. This is what I had to do because I couldn't see the $5 off at first either.

Thanks for posting! I just ordered the Matrix on DVD for $4.99 plus tax. I had it on some old format called VHS. Maybe some of you remember it...
