** HOT ** 4gb Sodimm kit ddr2 667

Thanks for the info...I ordered a set. Nice price.

Received RAM today and installed in a Dell XPS M1210. It works just fine. The bios and memory test software 'sees' the full 4GB. WindowsXP Pro(32) 'sees' only 3.4GB.
The bios indicates:
4096MB installed
3327MB available
667MHz speed
Dual Channel
DDR2 SDRAM

Oh man.. trying to decide if the new laptop with vista needs 4gb......... WHAT TO DO! It does have a decent video card on it that would benefit.

I have an HP DV6000 AMD Turion ML-50 based laptop that the specs say can go up to 2 megs of memory. It has 2 So-dimm sockets and currently has 1 meg. I'm wondering if the specs are wrong and it can actually handle the higher density memory...

Sounds like some cutting edge technology you have there. How many megs is your hard drive?

I just bought it this spring! It's a modern system using the nVidia 6150 chipset. It has a 120 gig SATA based hd and a super multi 8x DVD+-R/RW burner. It also has a ExpressCard/54 slot. That's why I'm wondering if the printed specs are wrong -- I don't see any technical reasons why it would be limited to only 2 megs.

keep in mind unless your running x64 edition of Vista or XP you wont be able to see all 4GB....the most vista 32 bit can see is ~3.2GB

250 is indeed a good deal to me. I looked about 6 months ago and 400-600 per stick was the price and very few places stocked them. Now they are all over and the price has plummeted.
