It says EDTV clear as day and plus with HDTV the difference between ED and HD is negligible.

I have 5 flat panels 3 in my home and 2 in my office.

2 are 30 inch HD LCD's that do 1280x768
2 are 42 inchEDTV Plasmas
and one is an
42 inch HD Panasonic Plasma

I can NOT see the difference on a Satellite HD feed, if you hook up a computer to it its a totally different situtaion of course.

BUT it depends on the glass BIG TIME, my EDTV Panasonic looks much better then my SVA 42 inch EDTV.

So I am reading the owner's manual and it says it has a manufacturer warranty for 3 years because it is a plasma.

This warranty only covers failurs due to defects in the material or workmanship which occurs during normal use.

So if you keep the box and receipt you should be protected if it breaks for 3 years. FUNAI CORPORATION, INC. in Torrence, CA is their Service Center.

That sounds about right. But is this price still good considering it has no-DVI or TV Tuner?

anyone buying a plasma usually does not use the built in tuner in their tv's anyways..... i don't know why people stress about that.

Yeah, so I bought 3 of these. @ 1499.99 with free shipping it really is a good deal.
3-Year warranty with 90-days on labor. But Parts is what cost so much on these anyways.

Later.

Hey JImmyK, want to share what you do for a living?

I was contemplating buying it earlier today. spoke with the wife when I got home and went to order it......but guess what.....they raised the damn price to $1700?!?! Gave me some cr@p about how Sylvania told them to raise the price. Looks like I will probably be going with a Panny?

I was gonna order one in a heart beat, but the damn price is $1699.98. Not bad, but not as good.
