Looks pretty nice, one of the first HDTV's I would consider (to me 1080p is a must). Think I will wait until they are a bit larger for that price though.

Has anyone tried to use the Costco "lifetime" guarentee? I already bought one TV from there (LCD proj), and I'm looking at a plasma/lcd this time around

grandeCC, I see"HD Component (Y, Pb, Pr): x 1" listed

It wouldn't really make any sense for a HDTV to not have component video inputs...

it has a component input, i dont know where you got your info. however, a number of people have reported a jittering bug in dvi mode on this newer rev 2 version. the original apparently had an atsc tuner that was cheating (converting 1080i to 720p, and then stretching that to fill the 1080p screen), so they changed tuners (the new one has no optical audio out) but apparently introduced this jitter bug. i'm not 100% sure i understand what this is, but many people are complaing about it so i think its valid. its still a flaming deal considering Costco's refund guarantee (including shipping charges), but i just wanted to let you all know.

you wont see that any time soon. They limit LCD flat panels to 37" so that they won't compete with LCD rear projection units which are 42"+

sure they have plasma screens that are huge, but his point is valid. a 40+ inch lcd will cut into lcos 1080p sales.

Sharp makes larger then 37" LCD TVs.

I agree that the price can't yet compete with DLP or Rear Projection LCD, but they do make them.
