here at walmart they have it for $250.00. link

buy at circuit city online and get msn wallet 20%. then PM the price at walmart.

i also just called my local walmart and they have them in stock for 250.00, so if u wanna pm to your local walmart then call em up. im too lazy to do the math....

Will CircuitCity online let you PM? Do you e-mail a CSR after the purchase or give them a call to do the PM? I'm interested in this because I'm probably going to just use the composite inputs for my games so even without the digital filter, the picture quality shouldn't suffer.

my idea was to first order online from circuit city and do in store pickup. then when i go pick it up i would mention that walmart has it for cheaper. im gonna try it tomorrow. from the walmarts i called up earlier, some had it for 250.00 while others had it for 286.00. either way it is cheaper than the circuit city.

ok i decided to try my math skills...

339.99 -68.00 (20% msn wallet) - 98.99 (110% pm to walmart 250.00) = $173 + tax

i dont know if the msn wallet will re-adjust to the pm price but try it out

The actual math goes like this

$340
-99 PM (110%)
________
$241 + tax = $261 (8.25%)

since MSN takes tax into account you get like $52

So At the end is like around $190

msn will adjust to the pricematch, so it's more like this :
339.99-98.99 (PM) - $48.20 (adjusted MSN)= $192 plus tax

How can MSN adjust the reward when the pricematching is being done at store?

After you PM, CC seems to update the amount they submit to MSN, so it'll show the new price and give you MSN according to it..

I have had this TV for 3 weeks now, and no complain so far since it's Way Better than my old GE 19" .
For more reviews check out circuitcity site.

The model numbers are the same on CC and Walmart's site, but the pictures are different. I believe that the proper picture is the one on Walmart's site, if this is the set I saw at CC the other day. That base is really ugly, but this is a nice price on a 27" flat. Anyone have any experience with Apex TV's? Good or bad?

heard about this deal earlier in this thread:

Original Thread

i picked one up on Saturday. when i PMed it, CC had it for 350. the display model they had there seemed to have decent picture quality...although i have to agree with jbtech that the base is pretty ugly =) and yea...the walmart one is the correct pic.

does anyone notice a high pitched noise coming from the screen? at volume 0, there's a noticeable hum.

I think some people here expect a little too much "quality" to be put into a $170 27" FLAT TV eh? =P Compared to what you could have gotten 5 years ago with $170(which would have been a super low end 20" or 19" or even worse) I think you should be very happy, even if it does hum, and occasionally change channels by itself, and break after 2 years =P

Seriously, I remember when a $99 20" piece of junk TV with mono and even worse quality than this was a deal...and this was not in 2002 dollars! If you account for inflation I feel like I should go buy one.

Damn me for talking myself into everything...my roommate already has a 27" TV though =P and it'd be really weird if I just showed up one day with a 27" Apex.

"Why did you buy a 27" TV?"
Me: "It's flat see? Plus it's not an RCA"(yes he owns an RCA EEEWWW)
"?!? Where the hell are you gonna put it?"
Me: "My closet! I'll make it an entertainment cabinet"
"WTF is wrong with you?!"
Me: "Oh and you can't use my coaxial cable anymore...it's mine =P"

i ordered tuesday at circuitcity.com with msn wallet and got instore pickup. wednesday i got confirmation of my msn wallet dollars. yesterday i went to pick up the tv. i pricematched by bringing in the printout of the walmart ad. then i checked my msn today and saw that msn does take the pricematch into account. so all in all after i get my msn ill have paid ~$200 for a 27 inch flat tube

Managed to get one of these today as well, had to take it out of the box just to get it to fit in my car. Nice timing though as our old TV just broke recently heh. I only got a 100% PM and didn't want to push the other 10% cause the manager didn't seem very pleased with doing the PM. Forgot to go through ebates for another 1% too, oh well. :( My MSN rewards show the full amount before the pricematch but I did the PM earlier today so it may just be a matter of time before that amount changes.

All in all not a half bad TV (certainly better than our old one) for a pretty good price. Thanks! :)

Just wanted to let people know that I was able to get this deal today (Thanks AT Forums!!!).

I was in the Visalia WalMart this afternoon and they had 2 of the APEX 27" Flat Tubes left for $250 each.

I purchased online and they had it in stock at both the Visalia and the Fresno CC, so I did pick-up at Fresno (since that's where I live). They called the Visalia WalMart, confirmed they were in stock, and refunded $110 to me.

Beware, though... the first time they called Visalia, they said it wasn't in stock. Sometimes the people working in Electronics are swamped and don't want to take the time to look around.

Good luck to those that are in Fresno or Visalia!

BTW, the APEX 27" non-flat is on sale online right now for $189 at CC, which also seems like a pretty good deal.
