I see no reason why the simpletech wouldn't work for nikon cameras. All CF type 1's are for all purposes the same and should work with nikon digicams. Maybe you got one that was defective before?

yea,
i've never heard of 'incompatibilities' among CF cards... chanfo's prob. right, the card you had may have been defective, or maybe you didn't have it pushed in all the way - my neighbor had that problem (w/ smartmedia though): he thought the camera wouldn't take the specific kind of smart media he had, and soon found out after that he wasn't pushing it in all way.

man this is tempting

i was planning on just getting a 64mb card but this is 40 dollars cheaper than you can get anywhere else

hmmmmmmmm

Formatting a card with some other manufacturer's software can sometimes make the card go "bad" or not work at all.

Fatherof3 -- I too have the audiovox -- It has a slotted design to accept either type I or II so no problem there....

Anyone know where all of Simpletechs rebates are listed? I wanted to get a 128 mb and was wondering if there is a rebate for that one?

haaaaa... that 128mb @ sam's would sho be hot with a $30 rebate i agree
found a nice link i think in the process of looking though
and has anybody heard from the one? just asking. hope he's well

I don't find this hot - this is slow flash....

I got one for $86.00 off eGay that is rated 20X (sustained 3MB/s transfer)

this is most likely low-grade - 2-4X rated (300-600KB/s)

When you get to such high capacities, speed becomes an issue. You can find lowgrade flash like this on pricewatch.com for about the same price and no mail in rebates...
