yup it does work...not sure what did it for me, I had just updated the BIOS to the new one released in Oct. I thought they had stopped releasing the BIOS in Sept.
Yes, the $70 rebate to be mailed to Circuit City Rebates in Young America, Minnesota was only good for purchases made on 11/16 and 11/17. Sorry you missed out.

i'm looking at my printed out rebates from CC. It says for both rebates: 11/16 thru 11/22.
So it's not too late guys. Go to your local CC, have them special order the drive (they should have plenty in their distribution warehouses), pay for it, and the rebates should print out right there. Then go back, pick up your drive and dance a happy dance.

YMMV. some people are saying they changed the rebate dates... so if both rebates don't print out, i suggest you just return the thing...

Damn!!!!! I can't believe I missed the rebate again! I thought I could do it anytime this week...Is the 10% giftcard still available? It's not on the site
EDIT: Hmm...I called them up and they said the rebate should still work since it says on the website 11-16-11-22 on both rebates...I also called about the gift card. According to the manager, since the item is soldout online, he cannot make the purchase online and therefore I can't get the giftcard! I called up my store and they said they could have it ordered to the store (I doubt it). Oh well, I was too late once again

Same here. I was just about to do it today, but then I hear this. Why me? I only have 2gb of space! I need my gigs! I guess I'll have to wait for a good deal on a 120gb or 160gb HD.
Does anyone know where to enable DMA for the HDD if you are using the PCI IDE Controller card that was included in the box?

Very nice price even without the gift card. The lowest I've seen on this drive before this deal was $149 AR at Fry's. Hmmm....wonder how long it will be before they're offering it at this price? Less than a month? 
My guess is you will start to see deals pop up all over (as its getting near the holidays)

I went to the CC here in Madison, knowing they were out of stock. They went ahead and charged me for them for pickup later. As I'm standing there, an employee rolls up with a cart with three drives on it! W00T! Took two of em' home.
The sales guy was even really cool about getting rebates on two drives. He had no problem putting a friend's name on the the receipt for the second drive and told me I'd have no problem getting all four rebates.
So now I have 1/2 TB RAID 0! Wowie zowie...
