Good to hear from your experience with Merkortech.

After signing up, where do you receive the discounts? :)

Anyone have experience with any listed right now? I'm tempted by the Compaq p110 for $200, but don't know much about it. Are there any pressing reasons not to get it? If it's Trinitron, it'll be pretty flat, right? I'm just worried what might be wrong since $200 seems pretty cheap to me for a Trinitron.

Thanks.

i think if i'm going to order one of these 21" monitors, i think i'll get it from teamexcess, maybe an IBM P202 which is $215, but theres a 5% and a 15% student discount, so that should be about $40 off, and i'll personally go down there and pick it up so i should have a nice 21" for about $200.

A friend of mine ordered a 21" Dell Trinitron about 2 weeks ago. He called them before ordering and they said the monitor was a "Grade A" lease return. Grade A must mean good, because the one he got is in excellent shape. Hard to tell it was used at all. Overall, he is happy with the price and the experience.

Thx!
Got myself a 19 in Dell P991...
Excellent price!
Edit: Paid like $230.00 w shippment to Michigan... but I will be able to sell my current one - a 17 in Apple Studio Display for at least $100.00, maybe even more.... And $130.00 for a 19 in monitor is not bad...;)

Viewsonic P810
Other (some other 21" refurb I am missing?)

Please let me know your thoughts....

Thanks

I just got my IMB P202 today. It was a little dirty, but seems to work well. Text is a bit fuzzy at 1600x1200, but I suspect that's the GF4, nvidia has always sucked at 2d.

Great buy at $215, took a while to ship out though, probably 2 weeks total from oder date.

"Not sure, but I believe Ubid.com has some better deals."

I'd sooner deal with EMS exclusively before I'd ever waste another second of my life with Ubid.

Yes, that's how bad my experiences were.

I've been eyeing that Compaq P110 for $195 (after signup). The IBM P202 looks like a good deal also.

No, the NEC E1100 is a shadow mask curved tube with .28 dot pitch. The IBM P202, Compaq P110 and the others have Sony Trinitron tubes that are either "perfect" flat or "V." (virtually?) flat with a .25 dot pitch which is a better deal. Only thing is, these are used monitors so YMMV on the picture quality.

I have a Sony G500 that I bought from UBID about 6 months ago and I think Sony moniters are the flattest and best for graphics because of the tube they use. But for text my Conerstone 21 incher that has a shadow mask tube is better.

I've got no complaints about the NEC E1100 I purchased. Clean, and free of any scratches - packaging was great also. If I was to order again right now, I'd prolly get that Compaq P110 (which of course they didn't have when I bought the NEC).

(No offense to the above referenced users. The whole Cyberwings fiasco has made me a little cynical!)

Yea this looks like an amazing deal, falls under the too good to be true, so im more than a little hesitant...
