Hot! 20% off Dell desktops and laptops

I just got a letter in the mail from Dell. go to www.dell.com/amexcorporate, fill out a survey, and receive 20% off Optiplex desktops or Latitude notebooks!

Disclaimers:
- I didn't fill out the form, so I don't know how many machines you can buy
- It may only be open to businesses, seeing as how it's a partnership with a corp. card
- I didn't try this out for myself. I don't need any new hardware at the moment. Perhaps someone can post with a success story if it works for them.

I hope this isn't a repost; I searched before posting.

We're sorry, one or more promotions contained in your shopping cart are no longer valid.

Damn I wish this was valid on Dimension desktops, after completing the survey I was brought to this screen with a coupon code.

Damn the Latitude C610 laptop isn't cheap like the Inspiron 4100, here's a "good configuration" I did:

Memory: special offer: 512MB SDRAM for the price of 256MB 512MZ [461-4952]
Hard Drive: 20GB Hard Drive,9.5MM 20C [340-7943]
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional ¹² WXPPRO [420-2312]
Modem: Internal 56K Modem INTMDM [313-5205]
Module Bay Devices: 24X max/10X min CD-ROM Drive CD24 [313-0249]
Microsoft® Office: Office XP SBE w/Nylon Case¹² SBXPC8N [310-5271] [412-1202]

$2,166 - 20% = $1,732

Damn, I'm still wanting a new dell. Re the offer not valid code: it refers to the 100 discount that is their standard offer, nicely replaced by the $567 that came off of my config. But I'm on the fence with the SDRAM vs the RDRAM used by the Dimension series. Opinions, anyone?

I don't have a corporate card but i also got a similar mailer from Dell yesterday. Haven't tried it out though.

Romanza - I don't need the power of the Dimension 8200 (RDRAM), so I'm hoping another HOT Dimension 4400 (DDR SDRAM) comes along, something like free CD-RW upgrade, $200 MIR and free shipping. Wouldn't mind getting a loaded system for $400-$600.

I was trying to configure a system to post on dealspree, the best deal i could get that I posted was a 1.1 Celeron Optiplex for $346 Shipped! Plus you can't combine this coupon with current special offers. I.E. $300 Off Latitiude, $100 Off Optiplex Exluding Entry-Level GX50.

no one will complain about that price😀
Still waiting for my dell 4400 rebate, anyone got it already?

No rebate here yet, waiting on 2, one for $100 and the other for $300.

Anyone get their rebate yet?

I sent my forms off Certified Mail.

Just wanted to say that I wish more people did this, people don't realize how important it is to make copies of your rebate/receipt/UPC and send it via delivery confirmation or certified mail.

I am waiting for the $249 Shipped Server Deal Again... that was a great offer... maybe dell will sell 1u rack servers that cheap! Would love to use is as a terminal server!

"I was trying to configure a system to post on dealspree, the best deal i could get that I posted was a 1.1 Celeron Optiplex for $346 Shipped!"
how'd you do that? tia!

I think the $346 refers the the after rebate price. The best I could come up w/ is a Optiplex GX50 1.1G Celeron for $460 shipped, but $360 after the $100 rebate. (The slight price difference depends on your local tax rate. ) I also configured a Optiplex P4 1.6G for $568 shipped, $468 after the $100 rebate.

Still great price for a Dell. I'm tempted to jump on it.

much thanks for replying, Mr. Eatmorechicken! just wanted to see what was out there--the optiplex seems to be their corporation-brand dells, so i was mildly interested--although their proprietary system was the reason i flodged on the other deal so far (excepting the 2100 for $285 🙂 still a good deal)

That's exactly why I wouldn't want a Dell optiplex for home use. Now if this coupon applied to a dimension desktop I'd have bought a 4400 or 8200 already 😀

Hey Guys , Just wanted to say thank you for this deal.
I logged into Dell first and added the above coupon to my cart/profile.
There is a 5% additional coupon that IS stackable.
I clicked through this coupon and then went to Ebates and logged in to my account there.
Clicked on Dell Small Business for 2% more.
See Below for config.

Final as billed was $583.88 - $100 Rebate from Dell - 2% Ebates($11.68)= $472.20 Final Price

Seems like a good deal to me.
