Just received a snail mail notice from NN stated that, "...Our supplier has notified us that it is now permanently out of stock."

So...sorry boys & girls..but this is a no go!

Interesting. I received a snail mail just today that read as follows:

Thank you for your order. The following item has been placed on special order for you, and we expect to ship it no later than Feb. 11, 2004. We will not charge your account untill your item invoices for shipment. We apologize for the delay.


They then list the mp3 player

Got a postcard dated 12/28 saying it will be shipped no later than 2/11/04, then i got letter dated on 12/29 saying that manufactur has no more in stock and that order is canceled.

I sent them an email saying thanks for nothing, i think this was just a gimmick to advertise their web store.

I got the snail mail that mine would ship by Feb.11 or so and today got the email re selling out ... wierd thing is that in the email announcing they were out, they don't say "so your order is cancelled" or anything to that effect, so they have not made clear whether tye are apologizing for the delay or are instead cancelling the order. I think it obviously means they are cancelling, but they ought to spell that out, especially after snail mail saying it will ship and no later snail mail saying it is cancelled. I will know next time!
