May not belong in the old technology deals forum, but hey.. we gotta eat.

Go to www.hsn.com and search for item 504-951

It's 12 5oz Seasoned Sirloin Steaks for $35.
Use one of those $15 off coupon codes found around somewhere ;)

New price is $20.50 + $9.95 shipping.

Yes, shipping stinks, but there are 12 and they have to be shipped in a cooler with dry ice.

Besides, these steaks are the bomb.

Great with beer and a game of CS.

You gotta be joking. $5.33 per pound plus shipping is a ridiculous price to pay for scrawny 5 oz steaks. :Q

$8 a pound, shipped to your door, is not a bad price for USDA Prime Grade beef. These are not the same a Costco USDA Choice Sirloin steaks for $5.99 a pound (which I love). These are, in many people's opinion, the best steaks you can get - and $8 a pound is a good price.

However, I am a firm believer that red meat should NEVER be frozen, so I don't buy Omaha, or any of the other frozen meats (like the guys that come driving around with a truck full of meat). People rave about how tender these steaks are - one of the reasons that they are so tender is that being frozen and thawed has broken the structure of the muscle tissue.

Well, no meat trucks in my area, so these are the next best thing. These are just.. very very good steaks and yes, they are expensive. Based on the Omaha Steaks website ( here ), this is a GREAT price.

Harvey,
If you have never had these steaks (or Kansas City Steaks) you do not know what you are missing. While it may seem excessive at first, wait until you try it.

Right now Winn Dixie supermarkets in Jacksonville, Fl. is selling Ribeye's for 2.99 a pound. They have a bone in them, but it's still tough to beat that price. I think their entire Jacksonville division is doing that, which covers most of north florida and south georgia.
