Yep, they sometimes rebadge Verbatim, which usually rebadges Lite-ONs, so its like a two-way rebadge :D

How about just the CD-RW drive and use a 10 off 50 coupon to bring it down to $50 - $30 MIR. That's still only $20 AR. =]

I wish I could see the staples black friday add soon. I need a cheap CD-RW, and I want to figure out whether or not to hold out for something less than $20

Be careful!! The Verbatim CDRWs are not always LiteOn's!! There are several people in the Cendyne forums going through this right now... I bought one from OM last week and it is an Aopen, several other people too. The kicker is they won't take the Aopen firmware flash. The tech at Cendyne said he would look into this. Oh, and there is absolutely no f/w upgrades on the Verbatim site.

One good thing, the model # of what's inside is printed on the outside of the Cendyne boxes. If it starts with LTR, it's a LiteOn. That was posted by Cendyne tech. support themselves. And yes, they rebadge several different types.

edit: The reason why several people are in the Cendyne forums for the Verbatim is if you call the Verbatim support number, it says a whole bunch of stuff about the Cendyne website. Also, Verbatim support is handled by v-pgi.com, a subsidiary of Cendyne.

Any info on whether that PCI modem is winmodem or h/w? From the price I'm assuming it's a winmodem.

Also, did it mention whether it was voice/data/fax?

Just got back from OM with my Cendyne, err LiteOn drive. The two boxes on display had a model# of LTR-48125W on the box. So that's what I was expecting... Can you say free upgrade! ;) They brought the box out from the back and it says LTR-48246S

Just had to post, It's nice to get a little bonus every now and then...

Is there an advertisement for that CDRW advertised as $29.99??

If there is, can someone link it? I think I might do a Circuit City PM... I hate rebates.

I do buy my games because I feel that buy paying for them thre greater profits will result in greater budgets for even more cimenatic games. However, that said I back up all my games and save the original in a storage case. That way if my brother scratches them up no bid deal. Anyhow, I have this same Lite-On and with CloneCD I have yet to find a game that I could not back up. Though I hear the new Secur-Rom is unbeatable as far as backing up. Though if you play older games you won't have an issue.... Chris

Is this online or in store? I tried adding the Cendyne drive to my cart and the $30 IR is not showing up.

Well it's $89.99 with a $30 IR and a $30 MIR. So unless Circuit will match the rebate, the best you can do is $59.99

That is weird, I went to OM's site and no IR either?

It's in today's ad...

Online only coupon and in store only specials and instant rebates, yeah this deal should work easy.

I added everything up and it wouldn't give me the $20 off $100 as a new member.

Gave me the following:

GenericTable data not found
You must make a purchase of $150.00 to qualify for the $30.00 discount

Any ideas? Maybe it matched my info to an old account, and its saying i've already used the $20 off $100 coupon? The 56k modem isn't a deal anymore.

Here are the item numbers:

20047584 Khypermedia 50-Pack CD-R
20052014 Belkin PCI Home Networking Card
20189644 Belkin Surgemaster 6 Outlet
20074090 Belkin 50 Pack Slim Jewel Cases
20153058 Endust for Electronics 3.5oz Duster Twin-Pack
20182491 Cendyne 48x12x48 Internal CD-RW Drive
and i added 02234184 Northwestern Bell 39230-4 900MHz Cordless Phone = $5 after rebate
Total came to $105.96 + $6.36 tax

Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks for a great deal.

Thanks for mentioning the model number (LTR-4246S). The display has a model number of LTR-4125W, asked a sales rep. to check if a box w/ LTR-4246S was available (he didn't understand why I was specifically looking for that model number. He kept saying they're all 48X...well....we all know that's not true). He said all they had in the back were LTR-4246S & I immediately scored one.

$30 for a 52x burner.
