Ok here it goes. In newspaper compusa B&M has a 100 pack of tdk 12x cdr for 29.99 with a 20 MIR! SO save some for me! Oh Is tdk a goog brand?? EDIT NOW OFFICIAL HOT DEAL!

From my 3 year experience with CDRs, I'd say that TDK is a very reliable brand for CDR's. Thanks for the info. I'll go get a spindle. Also they are nice to look at too. nice silver design.

how is compusa with their rebates? how long has it taken for you guys to get them and for what product? ive grown to despise rebates..

Looks like this is what will be on sale: Link

They will drop the price from $49.99 to $29.99 then apply a $20 rebate that takes it down to $9.99.

Man, I have like 250 now. I just can't make myself go buy any more until I really need them. However, great find. If you can pay $.10 a piece or better for CD's, that's great!!!

I went down to CompUSA today and they said they didn't know anything about it.. the sales flyer comes out tomorrow... I'll check back tomorrow..

That's a great price! I'm going to pick some up tomorrow. And if my store is out (not uncommon), I'll just wait until mid-month when I can get it from Price Costco for $14.99, no rebate... *ponders* I wonder if I can use the rebate from Price Costco... Rebate has been posted previously to this forum, but 14.99 - $20 would be GREAT!

FYI, i got the same cdrs a little while ago, and the rebate came less than 4 weeks. it was one the fastest rebate i ever got.

Great deal Munchies. By the way, I hate to be a stick in the mud but as a Marine I am obligated to mention that the correct spelling is Semper Fideles. 😉

Midnight Rambler,

it doesnt matter now if it's "100% certified" or "certified plus" as TDK mainly labels everything 100% certified now. what really matters is where they are made in.

the ones made in taiwan are made by ritek; therefore, they are crap.
the ones made in japan are made by taiyo yuden; therefore, they are excellent.

last time i checked, compusa was selling both kinds. just read the fine print and look for "made in japan"

FYI on the costco deal. this is from another thread:

I found a great deal for cd-r's @costco... They are 74 min, 650 mb. discs...
orig price = 44.99
off at register (coupon)= -12.00
mail-in rebate= -18.00
Final Price = $14.99
