airborne is awful when it comes to ground shipping in state. i use airborne shipping at work, and when i asked one of the courier why it takes four days to deliver a package in state. his answer was, well people were shipping things via ground instead of using overnite or next day shipping and knowing that it will be there the next day. so they hold their in state packages. pffft. what a bunch of bs. personally i dont use airborne.

And this is different from the other carriers how?

Ordered a memory chip for the laptop last year from crucial. Shipped 2 day air via fedex. It made it from crucial to the local distribution the morning after I ordered as was loaded onto the truck for delivery as confirmed by the tracking number. Never arrived that day and when I called tey told me the driver decided not to deliver since he didn't have any other deliveries in my neighborhood and it could still wait a day to meet the 2 day air requirement.

Actually this is true.. but get this, i have sent parcels via UPS ground from L.A to Near S.F, and it got there in 1day .. but yet AirEx takes 4-days, hmmmm

I sent 3 packages this week with Airborne.. all were free and all were ground.. the funniest thing was today, i couldn't find any circulars in the store, and i even asked the manager, he said " sorry, they are all gone cause of the free shipping coupons" .

I said, o well.. as i walked thru the exit, i bumped into their same circular with all sales, which is right at the entrance for customers to see as they enter the Officemax, and whatta you know... there was the " free shipping" coupon in that same display by the entrance.. went ahead and stripped that same coupon, went to the Airborne desk inside Officemax, and sent my 3rd shipment this week for FREEE..

The funniest thing is that, the same girl helped me all 3 times, and never once refused my shipments, considering that i sent 3 within 2 days, and according to the coupon, it's 1 shipment per customer..

Gotta love those free shipping offers... even if it takes 4 days to go down the street.. its still 100% free. .. and 100% great

Well I just came back and got screwed by the damn officemax $%#$% working the mail desk. Brought my 70 pound monitor in packaged in original box to be sent back as a RMA. Told me I had to "wrap it".????? Do you know how much paper it would take to wrap a 19 crt monitor. Dumb girl probably didn't want to mess with it :disgust:

I shipped something 🙂 free.

Yes, my last couple times with fedEX, they have been holding my packages for 2day air in-state just so it can be delivered on the second day. Pretty much ticks me off. But my last 100 ups ground packages instate arrive next day. com'on.

Anyway, on a nother topic, if you compare the rates of officemax to airborne express rates online, there is a large price difference. Almost $6.50 for 2 day air. For that extra charge, you'd think they would gift wrap all your stuff !!1
