No shipping deal with Airborne is worth the money, even if it is free. I placed an order for software online. (The guilty party shall go unnamed.) They used Airborne as their fulfillment agent. The package was ordered November 11, 2002 with second day air. Airborne did no fulfill until December 6, 2002. <ARRIVED 2002. 9, December office.) (Delivering York New Albany, in><SECOND December 10. due delivery day>On December 11, Airborne marked the package as delivered. On December 12, Airborne showed the packege as delivered on December 11, and as out for delivery. On December 13, Airborne showed the package as delivered on December 11. Later on December 13, Airborne showed the package as delivered on December 13, but they delivered it to someone else on my street. On December 16, Airborne finally delivered the package to me. Remember this was second day air and they were the shipper. After each erroneously marked delivery I was on the telephone from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Several times being dumped from the telephone que after waiting almost an hour. If you count my time trying to actually get the package delivered the cost of the Airborne second day service was over $600.00 (I bill $100.00+ per hour) and the second day service was more like slow ground service. (The shipment was from Ohio to Saratoga Springs New York - about 600 miles. The shipment averaged about 60 miles a day portal to portal.)
