Stuff yourself with sushi for the price of fast food! Through the month of Sept. all sushi bar feasting is 1/2 price.

The benihanas in Buffalo Grove, Il (north of Chicago) is having this sale. Nothing is advertised on the web site, but this should be going on through the month of September at other locations as well.

Please confirm any other sitings.

Is this all day or just lunch or dinner? If this is for lunch then it's wayyy to expensive (especially since I only eat CA Hand Roll which cost $3.00 or more elsewhere). Over in the City of Industry they have $1-$1.50 specials. At night they have a early bird special: soup, your choice of 5 dishes (no clear plate) for $9.95.

Anyone able to confirm this at other Benihana locations? Also, is it only for the stuff you eat at the bar, i.e. can you get the cheap stuff if you're sitting at a table?

Dude, NYC is crawling with 1/2 price sushi places. In fact, many of them are named that, and are very cheap and good.
I used to go to an all you can eat one for ~$17.50 five years ago. it was great, don't know the name but it was on third, between 15th and 16th.
They used to have a two hour time limit, and I actually hit it a bunch(I'm 5'8" and weigh 140, so they were always amazed at how much sushi I could eat).
Place was good...

yeah we had a Osaka sushi restaurant in Encinitas, CA (san diego) and they placed sucked hardcore. My wife and I were the only customers lol. Thank goodness that went out of business. Nobu in Solana Beach is much better.

The $1-1.50 specials are only for the lunch hour all week and only at the rotating bar unless you order a lunch special for the tables. And I forgot the times for the early bird specials. The location is on 17877 Gale Avenue right next to Sam's Club.

The $1.50 specials are daily and certain ones (can't remember because like I said before I only eat CA hand rolls only $1, eat five and it's cost as much as Mickey D's but it tastes better ;)). I believe Salmon is $1.50. Spicy Tuna hand roll and Tempura rolls are $1.50. They all used to be $1.00 but I guess inflation hit :D Now they have daily specials for example like $1.50 for fresh water eel (I believe) on Fridays. I love their tempura Udon now $6 used to be $5.50.

Uhhh, thanks :)

That Japanese-looking building next to Sams Club? Wow, I always thought that place would be way too expensive for commoners like me...

Yup Okura and they have one around 32nd or so on 3rd Ave (right next to the bar 3rd and long :) as well

Been to both MANY times (they were decent when I went a few years back). There are a lot of the $20 all you can eats, especially in the village.

I live in North, NJ now and there is a place in Lincoln Park (next to Wayne) called Mr Sushi. $20 all you can eat hand rolls, peices, regular rolls. Even their special rolls, like dragon rolls, rainbow rolls (normally $11 just for that), spider (soft shell crab roll) are included. They have some GREAT quality and GREAT selection. Quality is as good as any local Japanese Restaurant in NJ ( I have been to ate least 75 or so)
My fiance's and my favorite restaurant.
Damn, that reminds me, havent been there in 2 weeks, looks like all you can eat tomorrow nite :)

I'd kill for an all you can eat sushi in Boston. The closest we come(please let me know if I'm wrong) is BlueFin in Porter Square with it's bulk sushi pricing.
I remeber going to todai back in the day when I lived in San Diego(9 years ago?) and the one on 3rd Ave(too bad the food isn't good anymore, it used to be great quality, very small(maybe 5-10 tables, so the service was always good).
and dakata24:
red fish- tuna (maguro or toro)
orange- salmon (sake(pronounced shakay)
white- most likely yellowtail(hamachi) could be any number of things.

SWEET!!! This is valid at all locations! I just called benihana's Denver and they confirmed it.

This is great because while there are many good sushi places around denver, I normally have to spend 30 minimum just for me. With this is gets affordable.
