Admittedly not as tech savvy as I once was (though it comes back quickly), so pardon my ignorance. Looking for some advice for a hosting option for a wiki. Will be used as an educational/training information repository for new hires. Want to tinker with it/develop it under my control for a bit (potentially months) before I actually approach my employer about considering taking over administration. Might ideally like a VPS that I could really tinker around with. Would also likely use the space for other things as well (personal/professional site, etc.) Can anyone point me in a direction?

DigitalOcean. They have one-click MediaWiki install, but you can also make a general cloud server with LEMP/LAMP and install other stuff.

RamNode is another good VPS host, but a little more work to set up a server.

Thanks for the suggestion. Digital Ocean looks like a great way to serve my purposes for now.
