I've searched here and have seen all kinds of reations to hostgator.

I am looking for a resller account to move my accounts out of godaddy and into some other hosting service. Needs to have CPANEL and WHM. Hostgator seems to have both. Prices aren't bad either.

So whats the consensus on hostgator? I want to stick with my host for quite a long time.

Also looking to transfer my domains somewhere else.

Hostgator, like godaddy, are horrid oversellers. They sell space and BW they simply don't have in order to attract users with cheap prices and promises they can't meat. As long as you don't use about 1/2 of it, you should be fine. If you're running small sites, then go for it. If you're running serious sites getting 15,000+ visitors a month, look elsewhere.

I have had no problems going 4 years++ now. No downtime no lagginess etc. Have hosted multiple multiple sites off 1 domain with no issues. Probably one of the better hosts for me.
