fixed. it was made based on the stories the director heard whenever backpacking students went missing on his trip to eastern europe. there are some places that have been found where people pay big bucks to mutilate and kill people.
 
It sucks IMO, but the women are undeniably amazing. I love horror movies, but this one isn't a lot of fun, and it has some really gratuitously vile things in it. One part in particular still grosses me out when I think about it.
 
it actually is a pretty sweet movie.

it's made by lion's gate... you don't really need to question whether or not it's good when you know it's made by lion's gate.

Yeah, in most cases it's preachy and utterly worthless. Lion's Gate has made some of the worst movies I've ever seen, including Hostel. I can see how people might think it's good or "original" based on all of the gore and the story, but the fact is that there are many really gory flicks out there, and there are movies where people get tortured for fun/money.

I personally didn't think it was all that great. I watched it through once, but I skipped forward at one part because it started to drag a little bit. After a while mindless gore tends to get a little tiring.
 
First 2/3 of the movie is all tits and drug use. Last 1/3 is gratuitous gore. Good formula to attract the 15-25 male crowd.
 
good movie original story (it could and prolly does happen)
